I just visited the Shahrah e Faisal showroom to see the car. The plus side is that the looks of both the exterior and interior is awesome, miles ahead of the 9th gen. The leg space is much better than 9th gen. The materials are ok but the finish is not good at all (missing rubbers, gaps in joining pieces etc.) but that was the case with 9th gen as well. And welding quality is extremely bad but its not visible unless you lift the hood.
But thats not my biggest gripe. I wanted to buy the turbo to upgrade from my 9th gen and was willing to pay the price. But the navigation on the turbo is crap. Resolution is bad, colors are washed out, the scrolling and moving through the screens is slow and laggy. And thats just the front screen, the less I talk about the rear screen the better. You would think that after the front screen the rear screen couldnt disappoint any further but you would be wrong. It tops the front screen in just about every way. Icing on the cake was that the navigation on oriel was very good, much much better than the current one on 9th gen even though its from the same company.
The sales people didnt were initially reluctant to turn on the navigation for both cars and were claiming that the navigation was outclass on turbo and better than oriel. Thanks to Rizwan bhai I insisted on seeing it for myself and they obliged. Bullet dodged.
As things stand, Atlas has compromised the top of the line turbo even for people who dont mind paying for it. How could I pay 500k more than oriel and get a worse/unusable product. I even checked if it was possible to pay the full 3 million and get the turbo with the oriel navigation without the rear screen but the answer was no. So the only option right now is either buy the oriel or wait 1y when hopefully atlas after having met the initial orders will give the option to buy turbo without the rear navigation.
