You are actually asking a wrong person. Lol.
I have been driving DSG for ever so for me it will not be appropriate to reply accurately as I will be comparing it with DSG.
While on test drive I found it OK and behave same as any CVT.. revs high till it picks up. Honda has tuned it well along wirh 1.5T because there is a turbo lag factor as well..
Turbo with CVT, when you accelerate hard there are two factors .. a lag by turbo and delayed acceleration as with CVT. Btw as I said Honda did good job pairing things together. It's perfect.
Yes as I said.. it's Rev high and it will going on slopes as well and it'snormal for CVT.
You have vezel with dual clutch.. you will experience it yourself when you get your car.
BTW rumors are next generation of Honda's will use DSG as standard. Let's see if you find it on 2018 Accord. If it is there your next Civic will have it
