I booked 1.3 auto and it is late as ever, not sure it can be delivered b4 Eid
indus is 100 vehicles short of its planned august delivery. thats why booked orders for august delivery of some friends are still late.... a close frnd at IMC quoted this dilema
After more discussion now going for Altis 1.8 Manual instead of Altis 1.6 automatic due to following, cost which is roughly 60-65K. but the goodies are extra: like 200cc more engine power, fog lights, better entertainment system. please tell me is this a good option i m opting or should I stay for Altis 1.6
1.8 manual all the way

Well I calls United and they quote me 3 and after two minutes they have me 2.8% w/out tracker. Also Askari gave 2.5% w/out tracker.
If you don't want automatic, then yes 1.8 with six gears is plenty fun.
I recently opted for a 1.6 over a 1.8 Manual. Because i might love driving a 6 speed manual transmission, but there are days when i am super tired and the traffic is really slow. For those days, i get fed up and have episodes of road rage. Hence i opted for an automatic transmission, plus the others at home can drive it with peace.

For 1.6 altis users
Have been driving the car for ten days or so. Noticed a few problems which can be easily solved by the dealership
1.Steering touches against the main body of the dash. Slight rubbery feel and noise can be noted when you take a U turn at slow speeds. The mechanics can fix this within ten to fifteen minutes by loosening the housing and moving it forward.2. Wheel alignment ; the alignment is really bad. When i put the steering in the centre, the car should go straight but instead it goes to a sharp right angle. The dealership has to do this for free. 3. The AC doesn't cool unless the car starts moving or i rev the engine. Is it a corolla thing? Because it's my first automatic corolla. Please advice a solution for this.
Im more inclined towards asakri as my prev car was insured with them but never had to ask for claim
So what abt askari

People here in this forum also says to go with Askari. Our senior 'autophile' also recommend it (I never had experience with any of them). But for info when I called Askari they are more helpful in providing info.
@autophile sir ur say?
No problems like that in my Altis...And about AC, it's very chilled that I never exceeded 1-2 fan speed points. Works like a charm when idle and even while driving

Think twice... with traffic situation auto transmission is blessing, you can easily enjoy your coffee or eat ice cream whie driving but you can't do it in manual, Plus no miss shift in auto. go for 1.8 cvt non grande if you can, or 1.6 auto is budget is limited....I think for me there is no going back to manual now.. ever
Yes Askari is fine, have been their customer since 2013. Quick processing of claims at 3S workshops without any objections.
Had ordered the Navitel Navigation Maps via JDM Experts (facebook). The total price including delivery charges was Rs.4500/-. The maps were in a good packing, original rockmars Pakistan license. The performance of the software is really good, people told me to expect sluggish performance because it's a WIN CE device on Altis 1.6 . The satelite connection is established in a 5-6 seconds, the searching of POIs is very easy and quick. Lastly, these are 3D maps. Do give JDMExperts a try, humble people and quick service.
You are right. But my car will mostly remain in the garage and only be used when whole family needs to me move out.
I have issues 1 and 3 on my grande.Exact same ones
