according to toyota experts, a fuel cut system is installed in 2D corolla and because of that it stops fuel suply @ 170 km/hr so this fellow of mine reached 175 km/hr which is debatable.
I will surely like to know the refernce which tells that there is a speed limiter in 2D which is connected with speedo (170 kph) and not with RPM (Red Line). Otherwise experts like Puppo Mistry and Sheeda Mechanic all have very interesting theories, which are yet to be proved.
Anyhow the point of story is not to undermine any cars capability, but was just to share an interesting incident. Anybody who has driven Diesels, know that how pathetic they are at sart up, but thier handling and behaviour changes significantly at higher RPMs.
