You are right about how it should be. But in case of samsung it can be disabled and enabled from service menu. I will share it once I do it

Let me be clear as possible.

You Galaxy S5 G900F DOES SUPPORT 4G LTE. Congrats and it's an international version which will work fine in Pakistan.

Now coming at your problem. For you to enable 4G LTE you have to update the firmware. Firmware is a software which enables operating system to interact with hardware. Now your hardware is supported but sadly your firmware isn't which in turn isn't showing LTE Modes at operating system level. This is because your ROM(firmware) is carrier based.

Now you need to install an international ROM which will enable you to access LTE bands. Which will void your warranty.

If there is some other way like secret codes to enable, I will let you know very soon.

Its only because Samsung he is using is carrier based which does not support LTE, that's why his phones LTE is not working.

The problem in my handset is that I have 4G LTE sim and a LTE supported handset but the network mode doesn't show LTE anywhere . I have been told that it has to be enabled from some service code

odin 3.09 is used to flash samsung firmware (of any region) and the firmware is available at www.sammobile.com . very easy procedure and easily available tutorials.
*no data loss, if done properly.

try code number 20 and 44, but with care.

flashing any other firmware may void warranty temporarily, but you can always re-flash to it's own original version to get back warranty.

You are very right.

As firmware is (AP+CP+CSC). CSC is related to network connectivity. I checked from the screenshot he posted. In his phone, PDA(AP) installed is global version, but the CSC installed is carrier based that does not support 4G LTE. Flashing to international firmware will definitely solve the 4G LTE issue.

In odin, only CSC can be flashed too.

Just tell me the name of international firmware. I will install it and will share the results

Its only because Samsung he is using is carrier based which does not support LTE, that's why his phones LTE is not working.

I bought it in dubai for cash and not from any carrier operator.

Please tell me the name of international csc. I will try it .

this should work.
use at own risk and back up important data.
it has same pda and cp but different csc.

use tutorials and do not touch re-partition or pit file settings in odin 3.09. use AP setting to flash.

Shouldn't the stock ROM end all the hassle. I dont know about Samsung. Just my guess.

i just flashed a firmware and my handset is stuck in the starting loop.
Now I am downloading another firmware, which is again around 1.4 Gb.
its taking long and my phone is still off :S

the firmware which didn't work is G900F XXU1 ANE2
And the error its giving is
as the phone boots up, a popup appears saying "android.process acore has stopped" and the phone goes to restart it self.

can you please tell me which network are you using at the moment ?
Do you have a 4G sim or now ?
because, what I have concluded from all my effort is that in Samsung
you need to have a 4G sim + the 4G network has to be enabled against your number + your handset has to be 4G enabled and only then, it will show you the menu.
