Thanks man, u r a life saver... The fan on the driver side is not working What could be the possible solution and what can be the reasons behind it and how to figure it out
PLUS suggest the best coolant and why does all the reborns have common problem of STEERING OIL LEAKAGE and any solution for it or any DIY PRODUCT such as STP steering stop etc

I may have an answer for you for steering leak. Honda traced the problem to a faulty power steering hose. They then sent a SMS message to all owners who they had on their database (guys who did their service at 3S) to come and have this hose replaced free of cost.

Here is the message I got from them:

"Honourable customer I am from honda classic 179 korange road i-10/3 islamabad .if you have the problem in power steering pipe , you may please vist us on any working day /hour for free upgradation in your car with best regards Talib Pervaiz."

Of course I had mine replaced.

Yes that is correct. If one follows proper maintenance, the car is trouble free. Alhumdolliah, mine is 10 years old with 90,000 km has never given a day's trouble. Nothing leaks and still as smooth as the day we got it. Only thing I did was to get all the service done at the Honda 3S place from day one. Hence the importance of a properly stamped service booklet while buying a second hand car.

So the car is in great shape and also GLASS COATED from CARBOGRAPHICS The POWER STEERING LEAK is the only issue And 3S said in 10k we will repair it but without any warranty even car has still that new fresh inside her

So i found a Honda Civic Reborn 2012 ran for only 40,000 kms. I am a teacher and this is my student's car. They are asking about Rs 10,000,00 for the car. This has mostly been driven in a colony and no harsh driving. What things will i have to get replaced and what will be the total cost of the parts i have to get replaced? i already know engine mounts have to be replaced but don't know the price. Help will be appreciated. There has been an accident and the front bumper was replaced but it is not visible. It is a Non Oriel Non Prosmatec

Seems you have a nice car with the exception of this leak. Good to know the car has been well cared for. Did they not tell you break down of 10K? Or what they will do? None of the 3S places provide a warranty on the work they perform. However keep the invoice handy and if there is a problem with their work they will fix it for very small amount.

Yea they said the will CHANGE the SEALS, CLAMPS bad PIPES or put some kinda ADHESIVE on BAD PIPES and one of the supervisor said Ham app ko koi guaranty nhi da gay... Ya ma app ko pehlay bata du ka aik baar ham na kisi ki CIVIC ma yhi masla fix kia thaa isi trah or wi 2 din baad phr leak ho gaya BTW leak is not that bad... drops daily...

@abdullah-.-1 Well....Adhesives don't repair leaks. I am surprised that they opted to suggest that solution. If the pipe needs an adhesive to cure the leak why not replace it?

Well i think i should leave it coz its very minor leakage... ;-; BTW what do u say about the use of Hi Octane as i will be going to lahore from islamabad in coming week... Please describe in LITERS or RUPEES rather than RATIOS

I am guessing that you are referring to the tensioner of the main serpentine belt. I will just take a wild shot at it. Was the first time the breakage after this belt was replaced? If so then the routing of the belt may be wrong. There are two types of belt available for this engine. One is longer that the other. The routing is different for both.

Have a look at the discussion about belt size: http://www.civicforums.com/forums/197-mechanical-problems-vehicle-issues-fix-forum/349216-2006-serpentine-belt-size-problem.html. I had mine corrected when the car was almost new in 2007. Never had any issues. You can always go to your friendly 3S place for expert advice. After all they have seen ALL possible issues in the 1.8 Vtec engine and have a huge experience.

Mind sharing the cost you bought the tensioner for?

Hi, the belt was replaced after 2nd time. First two reason for breaking is still unknown. I am guessing its either fitted "too tight" which causes breakage. So i decided to go for a new one and still the same issue. I have read somewhere that torque wrench with digital meter is required to lock the bolt at 25nm pounds something like that.

In Cha Sultan you can buy a brand new one for 2800. or Kabli for 4500-6000 depending on your negotiation skills. I decided to opt for kabli because new one in packing looks cheap and the quality is that great.

Is it me or Reborn's AC sucks. Even the 1.3 city and xli/gli has better AC performance.

How, in terms of what. Cold air, air speed ? I have used city idsi and civic 8th. Found civic much better.
