Hey guys, as the weather has changed a bit i started to use AC in my newly purchased 2015 ivtec manual honda city. I have been facing minor nuances with operation as they were not present in my previous vehicle i.e: Cultus 07
i) A locking sound when AC is turned on, i believe it is from the clutch in compressor, it is sometimes loud as if something hits/snaps into place. AC works fine, its just the initial sound from engine bay that bothers me, it only happens after cold starts.
ii) AC compressor trips during operation, and comes back on in 10-15 seconds. This happens even with the thermostat is set to maximum cooling and in mid day warm weather.
When driving, i can feel visible changes as compressor turns on/off frequently and it becomes really annoying at times.
I am not too worried about it but want to know If this is normal behaviour and If i need to get it checked. As the AC works fine i plan on running the car as-is this season with just cabin filter cleaning. Thank you for looking!
