Salaam to all Pakwheelers.
I'm facing a MYSTERIOUS problem in my 2002 Land Cruiser 100 series, Amazon Diesel, 1HD FTE
Since 1 year, I had this vehicle, and since then I've replaced the condenser, and also the compressor, recharged the refrigerant & serviced the evaporator.
And everything in the system SEEMS TO BE fine;
With excellent cooling for a while, after a cold engine start.
But the problem arrises after I've turned on the AC, and the vehicle has been driven in the city for apprx 15 minutes or so, in summer, with ambient temperature of 45+ Celsius.
Gradually the compressor starts giving off an extra noise, which goes away if I turn it off.
Also the compressor and everything else in the engine bay gets VERY hot, even smells like something burning, WHICH IS NOT;
My radiator is fine.
And finally, when the vehicle is parked anywhere for 5 minutes or so, with engine and AC running, the Compressor timing changes, i.e 1.5 seconds ON and 1.5 seconds OFF
And there's warm humid air from the vents.
But the cooling and this timing problem gets better as the vehicle starts moving.
Please help, as I am unable to understand this problem.
It's really a mystery.
Thankyou in advance.
