AC In Mehran 2008 Model

Assalam o Alaikum,

I recently got AC work done on my Suzuki Mehran from Rawalpindi Saddar and wanted to confirm if the charges are fair.

Work done:
- New condenser: 14,000
- Used original Denso Mehran compressor: 16–17,000
- American AC gas: 6,000
- Service included

Total paid: ~33,000 PKR

AC is working perfectly and cooling is good. No noise or issues so far.

Please guide if this pricing is reasonable or if I was overcharged.
Also, mechanic advised to run AC in winters. I thought what if I use ac with heater on Is that recommended?

Why getting all that work then?

Don't touch AC system unless it breaks. Only cabin filer and keeping condenser clean is all the maintenance it needs.

When I got it, the AC wasn't functional; that is why the mechanic had to replace it, and I took suggestions from 2 mechanics. The compressor was noisy (jammed), and the condenser was broken.

Oh God I completely misread your post, dk what I was thinking that day, anyways..

I have no idea about parts pricing however, gas was charged a bit too expensive. I got gas in 6,000 for Land Cruiser with dual ac and a fridge.

Ignore the costs, just enjoy your cooling performance; its a solid investment you've done.
