I received my new City 2009 a couple of weeks back and just thought I would share my observations and opinion.
-- The shape! Definitely a head turner.
-- Large trunk/boot space.
-- Nice, smooth ride. Good braking.
-- Adequate sitting space, both in front and rear (unless you are 6+ ft tall!)
-- Poor interior quality. It is easy to spot the poor quality of materials and workmanship.
-- Materials and colour of the interior are such that it gets dirty very quickly and even the smallest patch of dust stands out.
-- Steering can only be adjusted for tilt and is not telescopic.
-- No option for driver seat height adjustment.
-- No arm rest for driver, or in the back seat.
-- Fuel lid linked to driver side door lock. Personally, I prefer a separate lever.
-- I am not too impressed with the ventilation system. For example, air still comes out of the front vents even if you direct airflow towards the feet only.
-- Comes with only two speakers (front doors). Can have two more in the rear doors but there is no option to mount them in the rear near the back screen.
-- No light in trunk/boot.
-- Drum brakes in rear instead of disc brakes.
-- External radio antenna that needs to be removed before taking the car into an automatic car wash (not that I use one, but still).
-- Finally, the price! I personally do not think this car is worth PKR 1.4+ million. I came very close to canceling my booking due to the price and opt for a Liana or Optra instead.
-- As I have not still used up my first full tank, I am unable to comment on the consumption. The multi-display is showing around 14 km/l but I have a strong feeling that this is not accurate. Will share more details once I have had at least three refills.
Again, these are just my personal observations and opinions. No intention to start a flame war!
