He might be asking about testing it's resistance via a multimeter to see if the insulation is intact.

thats not going to work - the plug has ceramic insulation and to test it you would need a pretty nasty piece of instrumentation to test the insulator integrity.

quite a few videos like this on youtube .. Also, OP hasnt mentioned what problem he is actually facing and why he suspects plugs might be the culprit. ,, he should share pics of his plugs, i am sure a lot can be revealed by a simple visual inspection of the plugs

what this video fails to deliver is that the spark plugs are inside a combustion chamber which is under high pressure - that changes quite a lot of parameters of testing.

e.g. lets test insulation of a set of industrial pliers which are protected to 20Kv, you cannot do that with a multimeter, you need to put that voltage on it and then float a probe on the plier handles to see where the arc leaks from.

Mechanic brought used iridum plugs in good condition from bilal ganj and fixed in mehran 2014 pick is better but fuel average has gone down from 18.5 to 16.5/lit

M using them in Mehran 2012 euro 2 efi. Alhamdulilah acceleration n avg botg increased. Using since last 5 months

Around 15. And car is driven by many drivers.
Using euro 5 normal petrol.

Sir Issue got sorted out and in my case plug seal got worn out that placed on valve cover also saw oil in 2 plugs and both of the plugs were not properly tightened because I opened them with any extra effort I think that's where the oil was seaping in to cylinders.

Dear Experts,
I need ur quick, sincere but objective suggestions, since I'm very naive in this:
I need to buy a car which I'm going to sell in 2 years time. I'm getting a Crown Athlete 2500 cc (2000 model - without sunroof) freshly cleared from customs, 90,000 kms on odo and still unregistered for about 22 lacs. On the other hand, a civic oriel prosmatec 2013 (with genuine 84000kms on odo and 3 minor dry dents, but no body paint or shower- olx inspection report is 8/10) is available for 23.15 lacs.
Plz suggest what to buy. I know crown and honda can't be compared in luxury and comfort. Fuel cost is not an issue but I'm concerned about resale after 2 years and maintenance.
Need to make decision today. Plz give ur feedback.

Prosmetic will be better choice.

Model 2000 Athlete in 2020 has maintenance issues, if it is an auction vehicle from customs yard rest assured plenty of rubber parts have already finished the life and need replacement. The air suspension will be heck of an issue to fix. Also it will not fetch 70% of registered value after 2 years either., by then it will be a 22 year old model.

Dont buy the old crown, it will be in rough shape already being 18 years old and spent time rotting at the customs yard.

@Xulfiqar sir. My mehran got engine work done. And now it runs in a jerky manner (jhatky like "missing" in routine terms) especially in first few minutes until engine heat needle reaches till middle.
Secondly it produces sudden explosive like sound from the exhaust ( backfire?).
Please guide.. comments from senior pak wheelers are needed.

drive back to mechanic and get him to fix it - it can be a lot of things wrong, but if you paid for this repair, your mechanic has to fix it.
