Axle issue

I feel that I have an axle issue in my car. I noticed a little ' kr kr' noise when I take a 'U' turn? It is a sign of broken axle or something like that?
Please guide me.

If that sound comes only when you turn the wheel constantly then it surely is Axle sound. Axle is not necessarily broken but it's having issues. Broken Axle may leave the car un-driveable. Best solution is to get a New/ Kabuli Axle and get it replaced. Repairing don't usually work.

How and where I can get a kabuli axle?
I just called at a part shop and he said axle comes in 3 varieties in price range 2000/- 2700/- and 5300/-

Best place is SherShah second is Plaza. But, either you should have sound knowledge to examine the part or bring someone with you who can do that. In either case try to get some sort of warranty for the part. BTW, I didn't find what car is in question here? Thanks

I have cultus vxr 2006
Secondly I hadn't noticed any noise in street turns or in round abouts but yes it is mostly noticeable in U turns only

@truegesture its better to buy new C.V joints instead of buying kabli one's..

Kabli one's are pure luck.

NKN is the best brand you can get i think they are Japanese. They would last around 5 year's that also depending on driving conditions.

Chinese would also work for around 2 year's depending upon driving conditions.

I changed them around 6 year's ago at that time NKN(for cultus) one's costed me 3800-/RS in total including installation from mechanic.
Nowadays they must be near 4500-/RS.

I guess you should get it examined from Afzal bhai @ Abdul Waheed and sons. 0300 211 6069.
Real gem of a person and best person to get any work done on suspension/ Axle. At least you will know for sure what's the issue and what are your options for it's resolution. Thanks

If noise only comes at U-turns then it is for sure the outer C.V joint.

Outer cv joints making sound is something very common...if you have genuine axles installed, they can be repaired too with minimal cost and can provide you months and months of silent running. Best is to go for japanese axles - although chinese top quality ones come with warranty too and works fine whereas japanese ones have zero warranty..

It's upto you.! Sometimes repaired thing's might last long as new one's and sometimes they even fail within week's or day's.

In my opinion.
It would be better to replace with new one's be them Good quality Chinese or Japanese.

I can guide you to his shop. You will give my ref to him. Do what he says and you will get best out of your money spent. Opposite Diamond store at mukka chowk, enter the wide street and keep on going...on your left, the second last shop will be his...his name is nadeem. Tell him abid sent you jiski liana ka kaam krte hain aap..he knows me well.
