I made a visit to Makro(SITE Area), had a look at split ACs over there as I am still very confused about it. They have following ACs
LG Jet Cool
Haier
Kenwood
Hitachi
Gree
Dawlance
Pel
Waves
Samsung

Hitachi that the shopkeeper near my house is selling for 38,000 is available in Makro for 28,000 only (1.5 tons).
I had a close look at Haier 2 ton and 1.5 and both were very different in models and I didn’t like the finishing quality of Haier. While I really liked the design of LG jet cool amongst all the other competitors.
I checked the outers of LG and others. LG ones were very good in quality while others were behind.
Haier 1.5 ton is for 28.500 while LG jet cool 1.5 ton is 32,500 approx.
Kenwood is the cheapest with 24,500 for 1.5 tons.
I was thinking to go for General and I was getting it from dealer at a discounted price of 38,000 for 1.5 tons but since it comes quite much energy so I have decided till now to go for LG jet cool.

just bought an orient 1.5 ton for 28k...............
i would say not bad....cooling is good.......
i wanted the mitsu one, but in the end thought why spend so much........................................
go for whichever one suits your heart.........
not much of a difference in most of the acs :)...

i recommend mitsu, then dawlance, then lg, orient, etc etc.......
just make sure you get a proper and clean installation done, and there shouldnt be a problem for a long time.......
but MITSUBISHI is the best if money is not a problem :).......
and dont listen to specific shopkeepers not all know what they are talking about.....

i want to know wat are the installation charges of mitsubishi split,
yesterday bought it in 39000. .....
Normal installation charges of local splits are Rs.1500 but for mitsub..split they r asking Rs 2500.
so agar kisy ko pata ho k yahi charges charge hotay hai then ok for me ,laiken mujhey lag raha hai ye charges ziyada bata rahay hai .does anyone knows abt it

Installation charges are same 1000 rupees for any AC here, 1500 is for the kit. By the way you bought AC a little expensive here it is for 36500.
Do tell me how it is working same as old one?

I know General is best but not good for home as it consumes very much electricity although I dont have any idea how much more it consumes than others.

I dont want to get into trouble of ACs so want to get the best in terms of reliability, consumption and cooling. Because I know I cannot sell it once I have bought it, I am not good in selling stuff. Never sold any of my stuff.

Sorry 4 not mentioning, that im from peshawar and 39 or 39.5k r the normal rates of pesh. ,havnt installed it yet.

& abt instal u mean 1000Rs for installation and 1500 Rs for Kit.. 1000Rs+1500Rs=2500 Rs .right

by the way S55 i also suggest u for Mitsu.little expensive but troublefree split then others. and in local brands, Haier then dawlence is best

I think yes 2500. Imported dont come with kit you have to buy that while the local brands have 10 feets of kit free(I think) because I saw in Makro ACs with their kits packed in seperate boxes.
I have already spent 4500 in the seperate wiring for the AC.

We have a General AC for previous 15 years (totally Made in Japan) and still running very good but it consumes more electricity. The problems are leakage of gas sometimes while servicing and the windows stops working usually

Can somebody tell me the difference between LG JetCool, HealthCare and PlasmaPlus? also tell me how much more energy it consumes than its competitors? tell me in rupees and in hours.

Electricity consumption will be same as all rotaries consume a little + / - the same, better go to their showroom and ask for specifications manual, you ll know the exact figures, baqi plasma gold, bacteria free etc etc is a marketing strategy, all have the same health issues, you ll feel all broken, very heavy, numb body when you wake up in the morning, thats what Air conditioners do, specially when we need chilling cold temperature

Have you ever checked your ACs outer it has got some traces of rust its sinks(dont know exactly what they call it)? because I noticed that in haier they are not plated while in LG, Kenwood, Gree they are plated so they will not catch rust. Check it f you have some time.
