Which AC is coming with double condensor ? i think its Haier, am not sure, and yes they ll all get rusted in Karachi, some sooner and some later !

The Cooling coil, jaali, its double in some ACs, i think its double the size in thickness, but they call it double condensor.

Okay, I was talking about the same condensor thing that its gold plated in LG while in haier its not. gold plated things dont get rusted. You may have seen the battery terminals of cordless phones, wireless(two way radios) are gold plated because they never get rusted and that is energy efficient. My graphics card ports are also gold plated so if the coil/condensor is gold plated its energy efficiency will increase.

hmm good , but be careful LG is not recommended from my side, Mitsubishi has almost the same price ? go for Mitsubishi !
For Long Life , nothing compares to General Made in Japan but bills every month very heavy !

What do you know/feel is not good in LG? Whoever I have asked he says that cooling is very good.
I am not sure about the new mitsubishi so I am not going for it. Old one had a marvelous reputation and I have observed its cooling myself, its awesome. I know general is the best by heavy on bills I cant go for it.

yaar LG ko replace ker key Mitsu lagaya hai kissi ney, i told you before, anyway if the new LG is good and everybodys praising it, then go ahead, it must be good

New LG tu nahin hai shayad, I dont know if they have launched new ones. I asked someone with Daikin, LG and SG, he said that LG has the least electricity consumption in his house although it run all day. Another of my friend has Daikin he told me that bill remains under 2500 and they run it all night somtimes in the day time when they are home.
So if LG has less consumption than Daikin than the bill must remain within 2500 :S what do you say running all night 2500 is more or less?

Running all night and half the day for a 1.5 ton ac is fantabulous and i doubt you ll ever get anything lesser then 5k , i mean all your fans + fridges + all other things will make it 5k for sure, your room's door remain open, AC's compressor stays on for longer=bill higher and higher, if your bill stays at the 5k mark, then good, else close the door of your room and then sleep

LOL at close the room door Yeah I will do if needed but if I am keeping the temperature higher like 23-24 than it will consume less energy.

Bhai I have bought LG Jet Cool yesterday it has double condensor showed me by te dealer by opeining the outer from the top.

Its cooling is more than enough for me. 26-30 is a good temperature for me.

A very useful thread. I m also going to buy a split in this week and was just searching for reviews of different brands when got ur thread. How do u rate ur LG on enegy consumption and cooling basis? For how much u got it?

Well, I got it at the price dealers get. I had some reference so it was 3,300 rupees below the control price(I got for 31,600+1400 installation). Actual price of LG Jet Cool 1.5 ton is I think 34,900 rupees.
Its cooling is great, freezes the room in few minutes. Its cooling is more than enough for me as I am not very much font of cool breezes. I will rate it the best amongst all the competitors in design, quality and cooling.
Dont know about the electricity consumption as I bought it on tuesday.

Today I noticed something, when the electrcity fails and comes back again the compressor turn on after 3 minutes delay, I am telling this because my Dawlance refrigerator lack in this function so I had to buy a Universal stabalizer with delay function. One must know that once the compressor is turned off it should not be turned on again before 3 minutes. So this built in function is great I guess as I am not using stabalizer with my AC.

good that you keep your AC bw 25 - 30 C , i also dont like temperatures colder then that, make your body so lazy, bills also get high, plus your habbit of coping with outside heat dies eventually, then you become a nut case and you keep your AC on in winters too, i mean karachi's winter, some people keep their ACs on in dec / jan and some are wearing sweaters

I like summer and to enjoy more hot weather going Dubai next month InshAllah
I keep AC at 18 in starting and when the room is cool enough I change the temperature to 28 with ceiling fan ON.
