I bought 1.5TON PEL AC last Saturday. It has great cooling.
Anybody tell me what is the electricty consumption of it.

I got Haier 1.5 Ton Split. Model is HSU-18LEA03. Got it for Rs 29700 including fitting and all. It has Mitsubishi Compressor and double condensor. This model is introduced this year and has better Blow than the previous models. I m very much satisfied with its cooling, blow and consumption.

Thanks, I was getting the new model of Haier for 26,300/- +1400 fitting. I am happy with my LG Alhamdulillah. Beforing buying I have thoroughly checked the inners of both LG and Haier and found LG much better. It has both horizontal and vertical swing. Not much fond of air through but its more than 10 feet I guess. No idea about the consumption.

Personally using TCL 1.5ton for the last 3 years....no issues so far (exceptvoltage related, which settled after installing a stabiliser).

However, having worked at three different oil and gas fields in interior Sindh, where peak temperatures reach upto 55C, I found Daikin and LG to work without any hitches consecutively for 4-5 years in a row!! We run them almost 24 hours, round the clock!

Thanks, I keep it at 28 usually but in the starting I keep it at 18 (minimum temperature). I dont want to be lazy just want to keep environment cool not to make myself an Ice cream :d a cooler? no way.

I bought 1.5 ton LG JET COOL..... from DOLLYS Ayesha manzil... As we know Water comes out out from the pipe in which i added the plastic long pipe vertically from which water flows normally...

but the problem is that there are 2 golden/Metal Pipes on the right side .. and THEY ARE LEAKING WATER.... first it gets moisturised then water start to drip...

I complained to Dollys but they are saying its a usual thing in SPLITS... IS it??? I just purchased it 2 days before on 28th May... WHAT TO DO?

I dont turn off from the switch board, its upto you. I dont see any need of turning it off.

Do I need to use stabalizer with my AC? normally there is no electricity fluctuation.

I have 1 KENWOOD - Continental Series, 1 TCL, 1 LG JET COOL, 3 Mitsubishi Slim Advanced (not xTreme).

According to my opionion:
if you will ever use Mitsubishi AC then you will never ever consider another brand.
It is
- super quite,
- very cool
- fills room with nice smell (must be filter)
- Also it is low on electricity. It comes with an option to run in economy mode also (although never used that option).
- If you turn off LG jet cool and then turn on again, it will reset to
24C
but if done same for Mitsu, it will remember its settings and open up on that previous set temprature.

I have not used Mitsubishi Slim Xtreme yet.
Heard it is coming from China

KENWOOD Continental Series is also very good. It has nice air throw of upto 10 feet. Using it for last 5 years with no problems and just annual cleaning.

I dont like LG JET Cool at all, replaced it with Mitsu. Can be personal opionion though as many companies use that brand. But I dont like it.

TCL is also fine but is rarely used as it is fitted in spare room but so far running good since 3 years.

I am sure Mitsubishi Slim Advance(not xtreme) is the best but is not available in the market anymore.
LG JetCool new one has improvements I guess, it doesnt reset to 24 as you said, it remembers the last temperature. Cooling is good for me, cant say about others. Air Flow is quite good though I dont like direct flow over me, I just like the room to be cool.

Well here is my experience we have a Bedroom which is really not so big just about 12X12 Initially we Installed 1ton LG Plasma Gold it was not giving the required cooling so we decided to change it with Sabro 1.5 which was even worst we changed it with 1.5ton Gree it worked fine for a year then we replaced it with 1.5ton dawlance considering the name and Reputation and it was amazing to find that there is absolutly no diff at all between Gree and Dawlance.In the mean time we also fixed Mitsubishi 1.5 ton Xtreme did not liked it much Throw is not so Good now that Summer has Arrived at its Peak Dawlance has giving really lousy perfomance finally we Changed it with General AHS18 1.5 and trust me Its the Best!! now i have decided i will never ever Buy any other Brand!!Sorry Guys for such a long reply though!!

It was about4 years back it was Plasma Gold with Jet Cool Function we bought one Heir too along that one Heir is Doing Fine though. Now i belive i did the right thing by buying General it cools the same room in no time which others failed even running all night long,Hence less time to run the AC gives less Load on Electricity Bill!!

There are several improvments in new LG JetCool, anyone bought it recently can put some light on it.
General is already discussed in this thread and was found that its heavy on electricity but its really good.

@s55 well i really am in no position to compare curent series of LG as i dont Own one and i think it can only be compared if someone is useing Both General and LG,As well as my Personal belief counts i think if One AC is running all night and the other runs just 1 or 2 hours and gives the satisfying result it will definitly give lower load on Electricity bill,as its just 10 days i have Installed it i myself is not sure what significant change will occur in our Bill,i have to wait for atleast a whole month to compare on that !!
