Here's a little treat for those of you who like riding in the front seat on the top deck of a double decker bus and the views one encounters as a result. I decided to take one in Hong Kong this time around, and I couldn't have had more fun doing it. Sitting up there by myself (buckled up for good measure, of course), excited about my vantage point on what is to me, one of the world's most exciting urban highways in terms of the supporting infrastructure, and of course, the Blade Runner like views. For just 40HKD (around 300 Indian Rupees), bus number A11 snakes its way out the airport bus terminal a little before sunset, gets out onto the North Lantau Highway, then passes over the Lantau link, breezes through the Nam Wan tunnel, glides over Stonecutter's Bridge and then on the West Kowloon Highway, before entering HK island via the Western Harbour Crossing. In my view, this beats conventional airport-hotel transfers by miles! Here we go...
