Brand new Honda city 1.3 PT fuel average

Assalam ul Alakam dear members, I have just bought a brand new City 1.3 PT and it's my first car.

I have a couple of questions to ask, but first I want to share my story of purchasing this car.

I paid a premium on this car and I am having a feeling that I did contribute to corruption environment. The car was there (on Honda Sargodha Showroom), not one but about 10 cars, and manager of Sargodha Honda office still charged us 10k. I said what if I don't pay this? He said oka you can book the car and you will get at the end of July. (I was like are you kidding me on this serious discussion). I really don't want to pay that 10k but I promised my mom that I would get back with a car so I have to pay that.

My question.

1) Why should I go for Islamabad registration number, not for Lahore? I mean what advantage did we get on Islamabad over Lahore.

Islamabad vs. Lahore

1) Yearly token renewal. vs. Lifetime token
2) The same Status I guess
3) Lahore number is cheaper
4)Lahore number is easy to get, Islamabad requires many things like Temp address etc.

2nd Question) My car is giving me a fuel average of 6.3 KM/L. And I am very worried about this. What to do for it. Just driven 200Kms...

3rd Question) I feel like its getting hotter. It releases heat from the bonnet. Keep in mind I may be wrong as it's my first experience in any car.

4th Question) Really disappointed to see the music system of the car, It has 4 speakers and voice gets noisy as the volume goes above 14.

5th Question) Which speakers should I buy for premium sound.

6th Question) Does Honda navigation system really worth 55k. As in the market, there are things available for 20k which have more specifications and are more updated.

Its normal engine has to be at certain temp to work and tht is hot. City has warning light for temp, green for cold and red for hot, as long as red light is not turned on dun worry

5th Question) Which speakers should I buy for premium sound. Some one updated with audio stuff can answer but afaik any original pioneer or kenwood speakers work fine

6th Question) Does Honda navigation system really worth 55k. As in the market, there are things available for 20k which have more specifications and are more updated. a relative recently bought same car, he got 11 inch android unit along with steering volume controls at a lower price than honda navigation. Unit will be Chinese android with 2gb Ram

Congratulations on the purchase. I hope you have proper driving license. About own write to honda an email about tht dealership if tht will make any difference. Answered your questions above.

I would recommend Islamabad registration due to very low token tax as compared to Punjab, secondly model year would not be written on Number plates like in Lahore i.e LE-19 and the then LE-19A. as far as resale is concerned i didnt see any difference.
For navigation go for 11" after market android panel from JDM, Entertainment on wheels at about 30k or plus. But if u want cheaper then visit market there are many available, make sure to check specs by installing CPU-Z app bcoz mostly are being sold with fake specs.
For Sound, install genuine pioneer or kenwood speakers.
If u wanted PT then 1.5 was the right choice, city 1.3 PT feels underpower and poor fuel efficiency. try to drive with light foot and avg. will increase with increased odo reading.

This is a buissnes not corruption.

Corruption is when dealership give your car to its dealers and give you new dates ,and saying due to too much demand you car has been delayed.

Islamabad no. has slightly more resale and less taxes, when compared to Lahore. However, if you will be driving in Lahore for most of the times, I would suggest Lahore registration.

Yearly token renewal. vs. Lifetime token

For 1.3L engine, both Islamabad and Lahore have yearly Token tax. Life time token is for Lahore only and up to 1000 cc engine car. As far as I know, Islamabad does not offer life time token tax for any cc engine.

1.3 PT does not have good fuel efficiency. 1.5 PT has comparatively better. Just try to drive with extremely light foot, slow acceleration / deceleration, no hard braking, proper TP and tires inflated as per OEM recommendations, etc. and fuel efficiency will get better.

Hi, congratulations for your first ride boy!! Let’s discuss your issues.

1. Reset your meter and the average will increase on meter. Plus my city started giving an average of 14-15 after 5000 kms. (I purchased it a few months ago)

2. I did not see any issue with my speakers untill I increased my sound above 30.
   Do your settings this way and then check quality.
   Bass = 0 ( -7 if you’re not a bass fan)
   Terrible = 7

3. Register your car in the city/district you live. So that you can visit excise office easily if you need to.

4. It’s really too hot outside so don’t think about car getting Heat up. If the temperature of car increases (Car is heating up) you’ll see a red heat sign in the meter.

5. No, honda navigation does not worth 55k. So you should opt for a local one. But beware, local market is full of SCAMS. They will say the panel is 2GB/16GB, but it’s not. They have changed altered the readings. Install CPU-Z app in the unit and check the RAM and ROM of system.
   Do not buy pannel with 1GB ram. Because you won’t be able to use google maps smoothly.
