What optimum said to you was total crap ... i went to them as well and asked for the DC Polish which is the Step 2 of the Deep Crystal (DC) 3 step system and they showed me the wax too which is step 3.

A polish is described by different companies in different ways. It can be abrasive and at times NOT BE ABRASIVE.

As we were talking about a Meguiars Polish, all of the Meguiars Polishes including the DC polish (except for the Ultimate polish) WILL NOT REMOVE ANY SWIRLS OR CORRECT ANY IMPERFECTIONS. They are pure polishes which are just meant to supply good polishing oils to the paint so as to increase the depth and colour especially with dark coloured cars. There are no abrasives except for the new Ultimate Polish that came out which has the Meguiars Super Micro Abrasive Technology (SMAT) particles and is therefore able to correct minor imperfections like light swirls in soft paints.

So please when you are talking about Meguiars Polishes please remember they will not clear imperfections, a separate product has to be used like Swril X for correction or a cleaner wax like Meguiars ColorX.

There are alot of products out there so be careful.

How about M205, whats your take on that ausl?

Ive used it with a Megs Even Coat, would be using it with a polishing pad soon.

Thanks vague_one, regarding your question i am using the Soft 99 Polsih not the wax on the other hand some scratched were light & some were deep but the main issue is that i am not feeling the shine in the colour as it was before four year back.

But I would like to mention the true concept of Sealant.
Bro Sealant doesn't mean that you don't need to apply wax for like 1,2 or 3 years.You do need to take car of your car when sealant applied.You do need to wash it with Car Shampoo and avoid using detergents because detergents tend to remove the sealant!You do need to wax it like after a month if you want to keep it in extra top notch shape.Basically, sealant provides a primary surface for you to work on!!

In my last post I was only talking about the consumer line, not the proline.

The M205 also has the same SMAT particles that the new correction compounds have.

In my opinion its an amazing product. I mean alot of companies have ALOT of catching up to do when compared to the M205 especially in combination with the new M105.

Though I dont feel it has the same output in terms of depth that most of meguiars "polishes" offer. I mean although they call it a polish they dont even sell it under the category of a "Polish". It falls under paint cleaner/compunds. Its like a better version of swirl X for me. A much better version though.

It really depends on the application (for what purpose you are using it) and the result that you are trying to achieve. Let me know and i think I will be able to help out better.

I still like to use the a pure polish like the DC polish (from the consumer line) or the Machine Glaze No. 3 when using a DA or the Show car glaze no 7 when using it by hand. Provides a brilliant detail to the already perfected surface and the LSP can be used then

My main concern is to take out the washing swirls which a black car gets.

Its a 07 model ivtec civic, you must be familir with its paint softness.

what is the bestest and the safest way to use 105 and 205 on it, to get rid of light-mild swirls?

what i would be doing is using a polishing pad on an orbital, how would that be?

JazakAllah bro.........DONT POLISH YER CAR ALL THE TIME!!!! KHUDA KAY BANDAY WAX KAROOO!!! Its a miracle you havent taken out the primer yet....Brother read a few posts up an youll see the arguments and explanations between polishes an waxes.....for light scratches go for either the turtle wax scratch and swirl remover or the mothers one......for heavier ones hands down nothing will beat the megs scratch x.......though if too deep youll have to apply touch up paint an then sand it an buff it back to shine.....give yer ride a couple of heavy dosses of wax.....should bring the gloss back in.....if it doesnt then kindly post some good pics of the condition an we`ll guide you.....

Bro just use the "search this thread button" its been done by me numerous times, devilz_apprentice has done it as well.....whatever you do, MAKE SURE YOU KNOW WHAT YER DOING, remember its a BIG responsibility to work on someones car.....hes trusting his ride with you, an mind you some people treat their cars like their children........for an engine bay detail make sure you properly deal with the electrics before hand, seal all hazards, look at potential spots where touch ups on paint have been done, make sure you dont erode paint from there,be very very careful not to scratch the plastic bits,make sure you are cautious about the rubber seals, use less water as possible etc etc............please take on a project only if you can deliver........

There are no pads for this..........just cloth bonnets for the foam disc.......we made a mod to the Black an Decker DA owned by Dr.Shaggy an it was able to utilise meg pads.......but it wont be possible with this one since the backing plate is too large, you wont be able to see the foams sides an might scratch the paint...

i just read ur mail, well get some petrol or some engine bay degreaser (i dont have any idea where u can buy in isloo). cover the sensitive portions like coils etc with plastic bags. get some petrol pressure sprayed onto the engine bay, this will remove some of the junk and loosen the rest.repeat this one as many times as you think necessary. for the more stubborn stains you may use wd 40. after you have sprayed with petrol get urself a bucket of water, some surf and any cloth, fold it in squares and just wipe the areas , cleaning an engine bay isnt possible without scrubbing. id say if you arent in the mood of doing the scrubbing then get it done by one of the guys at the service station (under supervision). you just need to do the upper portion of the engine as without a proper degreaser this process can be tedious, and no one sees the lower portion anyways,

if you can arrange turtle presoak (best engine degreaser and rust remover) this work will be very easy.
after engine bay has dried get a bottle of formula spray or some lustre and rub it over the plastic parts like hoses , this will blacken them and moisturize the plastic. there are some engine degreasers that come in pressurized cans, those can also help you if a pressure hose is not available

@margallar, r u sure whatever you have suggested in the post is correct? If yes than please post some personal experience regarding following points.

1. Presoak is a rust remover: have you ever done that yourself? can you post before and after comparison? or provide some link where it is mentioned as rust remover? I have tried searching but couldn't find any such claim. May be you can provide a working example for this.

2. Using high pressure water in engine bay: In all (new) cars there is a big yellow sticker with warning sign on it stating "Do not use high pressure water to clean engine". Even if you cover most of the sensors, not all sensors are in reach what if any sensor which is not reachable normally gets damaged.

3. Petrol as de-greaser: Please explain what good petrol will do to the paint of engine bay?

Please don't misguide someone if you don't know what you are doing. If any damage is done upon following your suggestion, will you be responsible for that.

I can give you personal example that a couple of time my car's (datsun) engine bay was cleaned using high pressure water. All electrical parts were tightly covered (spark plugs, distributor, coil, generator). after washing it took about 25 minutes to start the car (we had to dry the plug wires from both ends, distributor cap etc).

Also, I am thinking of using Scratch Out and then Turtle wax for the body. Since its my first time, any other product jispe mai haath saaf karun ? Also,whhat is the application procedure of Scratch out? Apply on whole body at once or do it one part at a time?

@ margallar, bro using petrol in the engine bay is pretty dangerous of a task, petrol is bound to leave yellowish stains on paint, you must have noticed a lot of cars have their paint gone yellow around their filling cap area, if you use petrol inside of the engine bay, obviously it would touch the painted parts which are inside the bay, and those would lose their colour and fade, would look pretty obnoxious.

I used to own a vitz some time back, an 06 model. I tried a few interior care products but i just wasnt satisfied with the oily look and if it wasnt the look then the oily FEEL of the interior. In the end what worked best was a mixture of ariel and luke warm water with a new cotton cloth. Believe me the first time i tried this combination i could not believe the end results. The car smelled and looked like it had rolled out of a factory in japan a day back. The catch is, the ariel mixed in the water should be completely dissolved first, i.e no small solid grainy particles, otherwise ur gonna put minute scratches on that JDM interior of urs. bad_cheetah an stingray have guided you on the interior..........Bhai aap ko gari say pyar nai hai ?? Yan hamsaiyoun ki gari hai ?? Formula ka scratch out marnay lagay hoo......ustad go for somthin better......woh to karawai hai buss.....if you must then its a panel a time....well you could use a glaze to bring out the glossy look in your paint.....or you can use a clay bar to cleanse your paint......
