The moment you switch app in iOS and Windows phones, the app is sort of hibernated/paused.
Both systems have their own pros and cons though.
iOS does not consume significantly less RAM than Android. iOS just significantly compresses RAM usage for paused/hibernated background apps, thats why iOS needs less RAM since it can compress RAM usage.
If an app is actively open in foreground, Android and iOS both consumes similar amount of RAM.
Btw, if iPhone offers value for money, then why did you buy Honor 6X? You should have bought 2014 iPhone 6 instead, for the same price.
