It was done in Pakistan, saw it on another forum.

A guy had a black S6 edge with broken screen that wasn't turning on.
He bought a Gold live demo unit, switched the parts over (except the screen) and it was fine.
Keep in mind the phone was still detected as a black one and the back cover on a live demo unit says 'LIVE DEMO UNIT NOT FOR SALE SM-G925X'
Other than that, it's completely possible.

But this one has faulty processor which is embedded to chip. Only processor is not replaceable AFAIK. As you know already know the soldering skills of people here. Lol.

Actually you brought up a very good point.
So good that my post is actually false now.
Well, what that guy did worked for him.
In this guys case like you said the processor is dead, so sadly a transplant wont be possible. Since the mobo of the live demo unit has no Radio so no signal.

You can try and look for a smashed S6 edge with working internal components. That you can do a transplant with.

A lot of it, but i tell you more easier and effective way.

Tweak the RAM management to the non agressive level, to the point where the RAM is almost full most of the time and also uninstall greenify. In this way, most of your frequently used apps will stay pre-loaded in RAM for faster access.

Cpu uses significantly less power and clock speed when it loads app from RAM. When you greenify or kill it, it uses significantly more power, time and clock speed to load it.

The above tweak is utilised in very latest Samsungs and their battery performance and snappiness is the evidence of it.

Now, I no longer work for on these things, but i explained the principle. It will improve responsiveness, as well as battery timings.

Thats true, but that live demo unit thing is also perfectly acceptable for replaceable parts. Dead set is the best option overall.

I have camera samples that I took from it, but there are mixed up with so many other camera samples, so i might send the wrong camera ones. If i ask my friend, he will send hazy photos with smudgy camera lens which does not reflect true quality.

Daylight is very good. Low light is fine if you keep hands very stable.

Best check it yourself.

Check the pics properties and there it shows the phone model number when u connect it with PC as I m not getting time to go to store.

Lenovo Vibe P1M 8MP 720p camera samples. They are compressed, so the actual quality is much better and clearer. Taken on moving vehicle. Its camera is better than Lenovo A6000, A7000 and even P70, but not as great as Honor 4C.

No matter how hard they try on the hardware front. Windows will continue to suck until and unless they bring in some valuable apps heck even basic apps are just web browser links and thats just terrible. And that new Lumia 950 has awful software bugs, even a budget android phone performs better then it.
Talking about the camera well android phones are fantastic, check out the dual pixel technology of Galaxy S7, you will be amazed how well it performs in low light.

So all in all their just no need of windows phones, they have nothing unique and I mean who would want to leave android or ios for this.

Lumia camera has been offering these pro features for couple of years. They help more than you can imagine. Most people do not know their importance, that's why they find it useless.

Majority of Android phones do not offer these pro camera features, except for the very latest flagships. These pro camera features are available by default in HTC one M8, M9, Galaxy S6, Note 5, LG G4, Infinix Zero 3, Huawei flagships, Lenovo vibe shot etc and their successors. They are not available in most Android phones even in Galaxy S5 and LG G3, which is just awful.

I took this photo with flash on, i did not like it with flash, so i reduced flash intensity and then removed the flash. Then i changed my mind and later re added the flash effect after few days.

Even Note 5 cannot remove or add flash effect from its photos. This is what i am talking about. Android should improve camera controls. Galaxy A5 2016 has only white balance, ISO, EV, metering, and a few more features in its Pro mode, which is exactly same as J5, awful pro mode. Lol.

Bro agree with you but over all windows phone camera is not that great , initially when I used windows phone they appeared to be good due to pro features but then came to know that they aren't that good at least not mid and low range phones got two phones at home 540 and 535 but not that much impressed even my old galaxy prime had better camera

Bad ending though, the Z5 line of devices is pretty crappy to be honest. They actually lag visibly, in videos I've seen on YouTube and from using them in real life. It seems like more of a UI defect then actual lags. Sony needs to refine their UI a bit and optimize it to work correctly with the great hardware used in their devices.

Never used the Z5 Premium, but I have used the Z5 and Z5 Compact.
Absolute crap. If you're in the market for a decent Z series, the Z3+ was the last good device. Guaranteed Marshmallow and a 64-bit SD810.

I owned the Z and I had two Z2's.
Exceptionally good phones.
One thing that stood out the most was the brilliant battery life on the Z series phones. They always lasted me longer than any other Android phone I've owned.

Hoping the X series is as good as the Z series.

Indeed. Plus sony is not changing their design which is just too boring now. Their ui looks odd to me. Lastly they bring in nothing special in their phones; they bought 4K display which is just plain gimmick and useless

In normal good situations, Lumia cameras may not be the best like you already said, but in challenging situations, they outperform many great Android cameras due to their manual controls. You cannot deny it.

Your Lumias offer excellent advanced controls over camera, which helps a lot in taking better photos specifically in "challenging situations i.e low lights, moving subjects etc", where other basic controls camera cannot perform well. DSLRs have these type of advanced controls.

Manual Shutter speeds from 1/8000 upto 1 seconds.

Exposure bracketing

Watch some tutorials about these things. Once you learn their importance and uses, then you will know that lumias can do way better in challenging situations than those phones with better camera having less manual controls. You are a good photographer, but you can be even a lot better after learning camera controls.

We have kids at our home these days and without manual controls (shutter speeds), it is almost impossible to capture their photos blur free without flash in low or medium lights, as they are always moving and the photo turns out blurry. But by using manual shutter speed controls (1/50 to 1/100), i can take their photos without flash and without any blur, even if they are running. Even Galaxy J5 fails, as it keeps 1/17 shutter speed indoors without flash and causes blurry photos when the subject is moving. Other Androids fails too, except for the ones having manual controls.
