I wanted to buy a g4 and in my research found out the even the 600 series has this problem. It has it own thread on reddit. I think since this model is fairly new so the bootloop isn't appearing just yet, maybe with time it will.

Lol. A small minority of defects are there in every batch, whether latest or old, no matter which brand you get.

If you search that much, you will find faults and flaws with literally any model you search for.

Even you can google for iPhone flaws and there are countless flaws reported, but due to Halo and Placebo effect, many Apple fans are too blind to see and accept it.

In non warranty sets, you can expect anything from any brand set. So if one is cautious about such stuff, they should get official warranty sets.

Factory reset or visit service centre (utilize warranty). There is no easy way to fix that.

In such phones, gyroscope is only useful in 360VR or very very few apps. So i don't think you should worry about it, unless you specifically require it.

Well factory resetting is a crude solution and the last resort. I can do it. No issues with that. I don't want to do it as there should be another way. I know for a fact that the Chinese factory menu has an option to reconfigure all sensors but I'm unable to find the translation. Taking to service center is a big no! Those guys barely know how to spell their names, let alone fix a problem like this.

I know this a little too well since I usually buy used phones and every time you Google a model number you find numerous flaws but the problem with g4's flaw is that it renders the phone useless. The probability of bootloop happening to anyone is already quite low even if you don't consider the 600 series but even then there's always the risk of "what if" that's why I'd rather not risk it. And there are quite a lot of options out there for android users so might as well go with something else.

Btw bootloop isn't that uncommon in the 600 series judging by the reactions on the forums. I personally haven't seen anyone with a bootloop issue yet.

Yeah, he makes good videos. I am not a fan of his body language, but overall his reviews are blunt (unbiased) and very good.

His reviews about budget or midrange phones are spot on too.

Looking for free and easy to use ways, for a friend.

Solution found by myself, like always.

1. Evernote. Using friend referrals to get free premium services. It syncs S notes.

2. Adobe reader Sync.

3. Camscanner sync. Using friend referrals to get free premium services.

Actually i was looking for a single app to perform these tasks, but this is good enough.

Galaxy Note and it's S pen helps my friend a lot in managing his work, as now it syncs his Note 3 and Microsoft Surface and he uses surface pen too. Very good productivity combo for professional work.

Screen off memo on older Galaxy Note is also functional using this app (cracked).

I did factory reset the phone after upgrade to Marshmallow. The problem started after that. During the reset, tje phone wasn't lying flat on a horizontal surface and the Gyroscope got configured at the same position.

Funny thing is that the phone has local warranty but not international.

Most phones have local authorized distributor warranty.

It's normal.

No idea about that one, but it happened once on lollipop and i searched Lenovo forums and they had solution for it.

It's solution was placing it on a flat horizontal surface and then some long pressing power and volume key combinations with phone off (something similar to it).

Syncing in Apple devices is awesome. It just happens naturally and seamlessly, but in Android, you have to set it up.

Nope. You cannot move it later on. But you can configure it to save/download/install on SD card by default.

Search "default location" in settings. Set it to SD card.

After that, most of the stuff will save/download/install into SD card automatically, but as per Android system policy, some of the app data will be stored in internal storage as required.

Lenovos K series is awesome for multimedia experience, high quality display, VR compatibility and high quality sound etc which is lacking in most budget phones.
