And is it worth spending 120k on iphone XR and around 180k on an iphone 12? Although as @tintin1 said that mobiles should not be bought that much expensive but still if u consider keeping it for next 3-5yrs no android even costing above 1lac would survive (specially software wise) for this much period but we see that even iphone 6s is being used without any hardware or software issue despite its almost 5years old. So unless u break or lose the iphone urself it tries to justify its higher price and of course not perfect but much better security than android. So again coming to the question since i want a big screen as currently using samsung note 8 so in Box packed option iphone SE is out of choice which is the cheapest but than comes XR which is 120k and anything above it would be iphone 12 for me atleast. Seen many comparison of iphone XR with iphone X and iphone 12 but still confused. My heart says that spending 60k more on iphone 12 is wasting of ur precious money but than it has few advantages. But the only thing that i am doubtful about XR is its screen affect on ur eyes. Since i am heavy mobile user and personally i feel that AMOLED screen causes more stress on eyes but on the internet its vice versa. So what u guys suggest in box packed option keep PRICE to PERFORMANCE ratio in mind which one should i go for i.e. buy locally iphone XR for 120k or try to arrange an iPhone 12 for 140k from abroad and then pay 40k tax on it? Means total cost 180k
By the way where are the iphone experts of this forum like @zuhaibafzal etc etc?

I have used iphone x 1 year then bought iphone xr used it 1 year, then bought iphone 12 pro used it 2 weeks , then i recently bought iphone 12 pro max and loving it now alhumdulilah

For strain issue use matte screen protector its just a delight to eyes. Use phone for hours and no strain on eyes,
I loved every bit of iphone x its beautiful , only draw back was its battery, even when i bought iphone xr i was in love with iphone x, but iphone xr’s battery is way too good than iphone x. Iphone xr screen is pathetic and massive difference as compared to iphone x. I didnt enjoy iphone 12 pro as much as iphone xr as its almost identical battery wise , only screen was better even i felt performance was similar.
Coming to 12 pro max , it really is a beast. Great battery timing, awesome screen. Huge size. I love it.
If i were in your place i would have bought iphone 12,
Its brand new , recent market phone, its same as iphone 12 pro, if you want to save money you can choose xr but i will prefer iphone x/xs over xr . They are still selling like hot cakes than xr.
For example
I sold both iphone x and iphone xr in a week time difference
Iphone x , battery 84% used 2 years 10/10 sold in 90k within 1 day
Iphone xr , 88% battery heath, used 1 year, 10/10, sold in 90k after 2 weeks.
Iphone x response was way better than iphone xr
It will always remain a market phone
So if youre confused between iphone x/xs and iphone xr (if battery timing is not a issue ) choose x/xs

Its a trade off
My recommendation
Go for iphone 12
Or 12 pro max

No signal dropping issue with xr , xs
Iphone 12 pro intermittently dropped signals but that was due to 5g mode. I changed it to LTE then everything got fine

If money would not have been issue i would have directly went for iphone 12 pro max.
I kept a budget of 63k for buying an iPhone 7 plus from UAE but i came out to be completely refurbished despite in box packed condition. So it is still in the process of refund.
Now stretching budget to 120k needs atleast 2-3months pay savings or taking loan from someone. And going for iphone 12 that too from abroad so that it cost 140k (as in market it ia costing 165k without PTA) is further stretching ur budget and then again waiting for 2 more months to do saving and pay its tax seems to be a tougher option.
Ur main concern in recommending iphone X/XS/12 is their resale value which i am least concerned because if i buy such an expensive set i intend to keep it for years and years. Secondly about screen, as i have personally experienced in market although there is a lot of difference in screen but as the youtube reviewers say i feel the same that its not too evident unless u r looking for it. But yes my concern is that screen should have lesser strain on eyes and in my opinion LCD is better in this field but internet says vice versa because of which i am confused...

you can discuss with him on WhatsApp before. he will guide you. as per requirement of customers he keeps all varieties like refurb, original, pta approved, non pta etc, new, used.

I talked to him and with ur reference he quoted the least price compared to all other shopkeepers i came across in market. But due to past many experiences in iphone rather in case of any phone it comes down to individual whether he his afraid of Almighty or not. The shopkeepers are somehow able to trick even the cleverest buyer. Thats why i again asked from u whether he has that morality or not?

iPhone 12 definitely worths extra 60k. It has better design (thin bezel), better cam, better chip, more ram and most importantly Amoled display. If you are short in budget then Xr is good otherwise iPhone 12 all the way.

Keep one thing is mind, iPhone Xr is already two years old phone so will get only next three major update on other hand, iPhone 12 will get next five years updates.

he is an engineer by profession and not like an ordinary guy. he doesn't have a shop like we see in saddar market but an office from where he works online totally. he chose his own online business rather than working for someone else and mashallah performing very well. i will myself ask him to deliver it to you and you can first check and get satisfied and then pay. he is a good lad.

I totally agree with u and thats why i decided to buy cheapest available option in box packed condition that is an iPhone 7 plus box packed from UAE but got mistaken and got a refurbished set. But after this incident i decided to go for a box packed set in Apple warranty from local market. But again no cheaper option is available other than SE 2020 which is too small for me.
And one of the major reason not trusting the used sets/kits available in market is the surety of its water proofing which is of my prime condition and highest factor in buying any mobile even more important than camera, battery, screen etc etc.
So after shortlisting it comes down to iphone XR only because it only meets the minimum requirements of both security and supportability and also water proofing. About iphone 12 vs XR i think i am only paying 62k (atleast) more over iphone XR to get a better screen that is not noticeable for users like me (although currently using super AMOLED) secondly its 5G that is of no use to me atleast for now thirdly for an extra camera that is totally useless for me as i hate photography from the depth of my art, performance which for a non gamer like me will be similar in both and lastly supportability which i think will be enough even in case of XR. So i am more inclined towards XR as its repair cost must be much less if i consider scenarios (may Almighty forbid) mentioned by @tintin1

To be honest, I would give you one advice : do not overspend on mobile phones, its a useless kind of investment, my friend bought an 11 pro last year, it got snatched in the street and he was like why did i buy this phone, if the screen breaks due to some accident, it costs about 35k. Trusting local shop owners is a gamble, some phone turn out to be the best in the price while some just turn out to be dead after couple of days of usage. I would rather advise you to buy this new Mi 10T with flagshiip snapdragon 855 at 63k, much better overall and value for money as well.

Yes quite interesting phone and i was a Fanboy of Xiaomi for many years as well but again its not waterproof and its an android. I already have an android Samsung Note 8
