Changan Alsvin Delivery Delays over 3 months

Just need to share this and hear if others have been through the same.

I booked a Changan Alsvin (MT Comfort, Stellar White) from Changan Adil Ashraf Motors, Lahore back in March. The form said tentative delivery April. It is now mid-June, three months in, and I still have no car.

In that time I have had to chase them almost every single day. Every week the answer is the same: it will be this week, or next week for sure. Then the week passes and nothing. No car, and more importantly no reason. Nobody will tell me why it is delayed or give me an honest timeline I can actually rely on.

At this point I am not even asking for special treatment. I just want either my car or a straight answer.

Has anyone else dealt with this with Changan? How long did you wait, and what finally got them to move? Any advice appreciated.

Surprisingly, Alsvin is not even in demand, which would suggest that dealerships are overwhelmed with bookings and hence the delay. I guess this is at the dealer's end and he is trying to make you buy one from existing stock, probably on own money.
Send the dealer a notice and make Alsvin a party to it that you failed to adhere to the timelines to providing me with the vehicle that you have charged the full amount against, and moreover, I have not heard a satisfactory response or any timelines, therefore, I am initiating legal proceedings against you. Send it through courier to them so that they cannot say we did not receive it, and also send it to the company.
They will contact you themselves, rest assured.
