Here's a reply i got from kkool(rizwan) when i asked him about converting my steermatic to cng.
City Steero is a Vehicle which has many inputs going into the ECU of Engine and the Transmission, these inputs originate from the On board Sensors such as the TPS(Throttle Positioning Sensor) and the MAP, AFM etc.
The Distributurless cars have an advancing curve that is stored on the Ecu of the car. this curve is played with to advance car to about 18 Degrees when on Cng . It is must to advance a car to get optimum levels of pickup and consumption on Cng.
anyways to cut the story short you can get and use Cng on this vehicle normally. Your installer has to be extra smart. He has to advance the car only through Map or he has to use a Crankshaft Advancer setup, if you cant get an CKP advancer. you have to say goodbye to the advancer and drive the car without an advancer. this will cause a 10% decrease in the efficiency of your car but your car will be realiable and nothing will happen to the transmission,
If somebody uses the TPS for advancin the car your car would normally misbehave and damage can be caused to the transmission, the damage is not like the transmission gets busted and the car no more moves as Pakwheels kid world must have suggested you that CVT gets this and that.
The problems caused are aggressive shifting and usually a worn out oil solenoid.
