Rather than start a new thread, I thought it better to post some new information here regarding the navigation system offered by Tracking world in the Honda Civic reborn.
My car is a 2007 model bought brand new. When I bought the car, the in-dash navigation feature was not offered. Later in March 2011, I had the factory Kenwood system replaced by the system fitted to Civics by Tracking World.
I was never too happy with the user interface. I found it too user unfriendly and entering an address to be a real pain. When I tested the new 2013 Civic's in-dash sytem I was quite impressed. I contacted Tracking World to ask if this version could be installed in my older Civic.
They said that it was possible and for Rs 2500/- they updated the software and now I have the latest version of the Navigation. It was not as simple as replacing the memory card. The Tracking World tech first installed new firmware that would work with the new Navigation software and then fitted the new memory card. It took them a few tries to get the thing working but finally it all came together and it worked. See shots of the new software.
For those who are fed up with the old version of the Navigation software on the Civic Reborn, I'd highly recommend to go for this upgrade and let the Tracking World guys do it.
