My initial experience with the Oriel 1.8 :
So finally got to drive my baby ( modern steel metallic , navigation + leather ). This is actually my first car ( before this was using my father's 2004 Exi ).. So for me the jump was quite big.
The ride is really smooth ...steering wheel is really soft and the turning radius is small so the steering is very responsive.
Since I am jumping from a 2004 Exi for me the power jump is pretty huge ... The car always seems poised to pounce ..just waiting for me to put the pedal to the metal..
The auto brake hold is a god sent gift...Really helps a lot in traffic and on long signals...One never has to put foot on the brake.... The electronic park brake is also really easy to use..
The navigation system seems ok so far..Haven't had the chance to use it alot...One thing I have found is that if you wanna plug in a USB ...make sure it is formatted in FAT32 and not NTFS as it doesn't detect NTFS....
The speakers seem fine...not anything special..too much bass for me..so I might need to tune it through the equalizer....
The leather seats are ok, not that great....for the price.....I went for them simply to avoid any hassle later on...
Will be driving it extensively in the next few days InshAllah and will update on more stuff I encounter....
Overall am pretty satisfied with the experience so far... Ride quality is great and the looks are killer....I do have a few gripes ..but will share them once I get to drive more..
