My 2004 2.0D Saloon's clutch was very hard and I was advised replacing Clutch components.I replaced Clutch disc,Pressure plate and Clutch Bearing with Genuine Toyota parts. Now I feel that the clutch is too high while engaging the clutch disc with the fly wheel AND similarlr when the clutch is pressed the point of disengagement of clutch disc is somewhere above the midway. The free play is sufficient I think in the pedal.
How this works I mean when the pedal is too high or too low for engagement and disengagement then where is the position of bearing? And when does it occur that the bearing spins constantly even with clutch up?
At what point is the Clutch disc wear more?Low or high setting?Mechanics as usual have different opinions, some say high clutch is better some says low clutch is better.......What to do now and HOW IT REALLY WORKS?Please explain.
