CNG related problems

i have honda city 2011 20,000km done and i wana instal CNG kit in it .Is it ok to install CNG on city?

I have a Liana. I had it tuned and had its throttle body cleaned too but the problem i wanted to get rid of is still there. The engine does not rev. I press the accelerator and nothing happens and then after two seconds or three it revs hesitatingly. On AC the problem is severe without AC it is also there but to a lesser extent. The idle is not smooth, the revs drop below 1 to around 300 and then come back to 1. The mechanic says that I need to replace the throttle body as the IACV is weak. What's your opinion? Will be obliged.

I guess this problem is quite common in lianas. Anyways is this problem only on gas or petrol too, is your car ff cng or converted afterwards.....

I think this could be any of the two problems.
Either it could be a problem with the ignition system. Check your spark plug/other components of your ignition system for damage. They could be leaking current.

Or it could be that car is getting incorrect amount of gas.

Check the exhaust emissions to analyze if the air/fuel mixture is correct and/or is being burnt properly.

@fyq, I have recently got se saloon with cng fitted, its landi renzo kit without any advancer, i want to install advancer i.e, tamsetto lovato, can you please guide me from where i can get the original one and also do let me know which model i should get, do it required O2 sensor one?if suitable you can share the best workshop to install it in rawalpindi.

Hi JA,

Thanks for your guidance... But I have checked the return fuel lines & none of them are damaged.

Also I observed one more thing that the CNG fuel injector is connected in 'series' with the Petrol fuel injector.

Does anybody have any idea on the connection of CNG injector with Petrol injector?

Open this bolt. I opened my CNG kit after I dont know how many tens of thousands of kilometers and there was not a single drop of oil.

cng indicators of my mehran always turn green. mean if cng is full/half/low but indicators shows full always..

The sensor is a variable resistor like this.

Either calibrate it by setting its position or replace it.

I have experienced opposite problem like you quoted that CNG kit once installed on new corolla would give a starting problem on petrol because gas would mix with petrol. Problem identified as gas did not used to stop going into engine even once CNG kit was off. Mechanic opened the kit and problem was resolved after he has replaced few seals inside. Alternate is not true once you have already installed advancer+Emulator as car would not run at all. Cross verify your issue.

Hey bro i have a mehran 2007 FF CNG and previously it used to give 150-160KM 50L cyl. And now car has reduced pick and mileage. It hardly goes to 90-95km. And 2 days back i got car fully tuned plugs cleaned tappets adjusted cng tunning etc. The problem is that car is doing good mileage and there is significant increase in pick also but when i start the car after parking it whole night it starts but shuts off but when i pull the choke for 2-3 mins car get little heated then it is smooth and vibration decreases and yesterday night i parked my car there was 180bar cng in my cyl and when i woke up in morning and check the cng meter and it was showing 140bar? 40bar loss? where did this go? There are no leakage in my car got it checked, now what to do? should i get my kit serviced or change the cng pump?

For screen replacement you may visit montgomery road and for CNG problems resolution please visit the CNG mechanic Mr. Qaiser on the CNG station opposite side of Laurel Bank School G.T. Road near Mandi stop Baghbanpura Lahore. He is certified mechanic and will solve all of your CNG related issues.

Brother regarding the starting problems of your Mehran, i would suggest to get the accelrator settings on CNG. However, you may inspect the joints on CNG lines by your self through the surf mixed water. Drop the water on the joints and check the leakage if bubbles come out. Secondly, if bubbles come out then shut off the main valve near cng cylinder to save CNG.

Secondly Please visit the CNG mechanic who is a certified mechanic can resolve your issues if persists.
