vario and steermatic k engines 1600 cc hain a/t un pr cng muchkil se he adjust hoti hai but u can get 70% rzlts , aur dosra vitz hai to 1000 cc but 3 cylinders, us ko adjust kerne ka tariqa hai, very few mechanics knw tht ! and i hav got
75 % rzlts frm vitz!
the real thing is to judge with ur skill and thn get the best performance frm any car !

my alto is throwing water from its silencer ! does it mean that the cng and air mixture ratio is okay ??

it depends .
actually for best performance, simple formula is air=gas=current. so it is to note wot to decrease and wt to increase to make air-gas=current,means evrything is balanced.

it only means ur car temprature is oki, nothing else. means its working is in gud form(engine wise),not applying excess power.

u cant do it by urslef,actually its a totka,go to any baleno specialist and ask him,he'll say u by directing standing infront of ur car u'll undrstnd btrly,ab me yahan islamabad me baith ke to ap ko khi me nae smjha sakta na !

I have a 1998 Khyber G10 engine with tartarini kit & 50 KG cylinder.I have a little knowhow of tuning. My car is giving 165-170 KM on a full cylinder without A/C. I decided to carry out little tuning / inspection myself. I did tuning in following steps:-

1. Changed air filter, drained oil from CNG regulator.

2. Opened Denso W-20EX-U plugs, inspected, cleaned & adjusted gap to 0.75 MM.

3. Took compression of cylinders, it was around 11.8-12.1 kg/cm2.

4. Fitted back plugs as per mentioned torque.

5. Started engine on CNG. Warmed up engine. Opened tappet cover, adjusted intake valve clearance to 0.25 MM & exhaust valve to 0.28 MM.

6. Fixed timing light. The timing was 8 deg BTDC with 1000 RPM.

7. I decreased the RPM to 850 RPM with carburator air / fuel mixture screw.Then changed timing to 4 deg BTDC as per workshop manual.(My car is without advancer)

8. I felt decreased in performance so i again changed timing to 8 deg BTDC since i usually drive on CNG.

9. Now, i m facing following problem.
   a. Veh is giving good starting on cold engine. But it is taking 5-6 seconds self on warm engine.Acceleration & performance is OK otherwise.

10. I have following questions from FYQ Bhai…

a. On CNG, more air is required or less air as compared to petrol??

b. While tuning on CNG, RPM is adjusted from air / fuel mixture screw on carburator or from the screw located on kit(regulator)?

c. Where is the small cng filter loacted in CNG solenoid. ( I read it on tartarini website that a small cng filter is located in cng solenoid).

d. Why car is giving smooth starting on cold engine on CNG & why 5-6 seconds long self on warm engine? ( I think that since I fiddled with air/ fuel mixture screw for rpm adjustment so the air is unbalanced)

hey FYQ sir...
i told u abt my told...its giving 90km to 100km per cng cylinder wid out Ac in karchi city...
u told me to get the tunning done..
but i hav not being able to give ma car to mechanic..bcoz firstly sum1 told me dat if der is no problem wid car den dont go for tunning coz it will create more problem in ur car..so drive it as it is otherwise u will get in problem..and secondly i havnt found and gud trustable mechanic...i doubt dat der is sum liquid in my cylinder and kit and it need service..
plz tell me will it be ok if i get it done from any mechanic and will it create any problem???
and also tell any gud mechanic if u know in karachi who can do complete service of cng kit and cylinder wid tunning..or if any1 else knows a gud mechanic in karachi so plz tell me..i will be really thankful to u guyzzz need ur help plz

TROUBLE SHOOTER!
a)less air required for efi and engine more than 1300 cc.
b)first adjust rpm on petrol frm carburator and then convert it on cng and then adjust it frm kit but beware,it can effect starting time.
c)it is in kit regulator behind high pressure plate,but i dun think tht is choked,.to check it,see if the pressure of gas from guage decreases when u accelerate ur car,if yes it is choked,if not,it is ok.
d)problem with ur tappet adjustment,redone them according to weather condition...

if ur mechanic is not greedy, then tunning will improve ur car...well,for u ,i can do it!
take a screw rench or 13 mm GOTI or CHABI,open hood and look at the kit,exact its below,there wud be a bolt tightened,open it(only it 13 mm) and if there wud be some oil,it will drain , if not theres no oil.
u hav landi renzo kit installed na :o ? it is for landi renzo .

actually kits rates fluctuates as we are directly importers frm italy.tht depends on LC,
for idsi, i think go for landi renzo ,with 55ltrs cylinder and adv+emul. will cost u nearly 40,000. cylinder wub be inprocil(inflex,or any other mrkt stndrd brand except fybre(lightest weight).u can decrese price for 3k by installling 50l cylinder with same specs.also original type fittings are available in which stand rest on shocks,not body.
actually landi renzo is a famous brand and originally made by italy,but further it was made by brazil as well.as directly importers,we know the profit margin is very low due to competetion in the market,however,some of installers install it in vey cheap rates coz, they hav 2 number.
i must say here tht 1 number,2 number upto 8 numbers are avlable in market for such brand and the copy looks more attractive than original.customer install them and think they saved money,but actually they paid double profit to seller...simple imagine a seller dun sell a kit below 37000 in any way,and his neighbour shop is selling 35000,WHY?defenately there wub be some difference.
wen we refer ppl n snd thm to install kit in his car we dun say"plz less the rates",we say"plz install original one ".
i told u tht i m not conected to it tht much now coz of job and studies,but for friends and family,i do go there and attend all the fitting, and sometimes do it by myself.so, installing a kit is not an issue,issue is to get performance.
hope u r understanding what i m trying to tell you.
