hi dear,
ur message reminded me of wat mistake i used to do long ago,,, and relied heavily on mechanics "change this , change that" strategy
a brotherly advice "dont change the ignition coil" , the mechanic is fed up cuz he knows nt of the car, he relies on his expreience of jugaar or from his ustaad ...
abt changing point ... when u see and observe that its dirty enough, and then a good branded one, it wil last long, and u can convert to CDI so that point issue doesnt arise later (mechanics enjoy with ur money every 3rd month due to Point problems)
condensor change, it is only changed whn the current is insufficient at the point or the plugs, and weak spark is oberved.
plug wires, never change the original ones 'juz like that' ... either they are melted due to some short circuit, or the water presence at rain or after servicing, at the plug end, melts and destroys,
plugs, buy good plugs, nt the usual ones of 120 or 150 or 180 ... u can adapt this strategy of buying double contact plugs (once in 3 years, cost abt 250 each) ... they dont get much dirty early, and give stronger and wider spark for fuel efficiency, u wil observe the change urself ...
ignition coil ...plz dont change it ... u wil regret, u wil buy a used kabuli one or the desi repaired by mechanic, or the original wil be really expensive
understand the engine first ... CNG setting will do good for CNG ... petrol setting wil do good for petrol ... there are trade-offs for both settings..
mehran case
for example.. if u set very economical CNG setting, then AC wil work on it ... and if run on petrol, car wil drink it, cuz of less air for it, and advancer difference.
if u set good petrol setting, CNG wont be good at idle, and might nt even start, or if its set to start well, then again it wont be efficient, ur car wil drink CNG like air ....
advice
first decide wat primary fuel u want to set, CNG or petrol .... if its set on CNG, then observe the idle throttle of CNG, mehran doesnt have the tachometer, so u need to closely observe the rpm, mechanic does it on sound and vib of engine ... u need to play with two CNG inputs... for best idle setting .. if those are set by ur mechanic welll (if u really trust the doctor professor mechanic sahab), then observe the ac idle linkage at the left side of carburetor ...
if u dont know wat im talkin abt, juz post pic of engine area from top and i wil tel u whr is it ... then with a philips flat screw driver, unlock the screw... it will increase the idle in case ac is on .... the ac wil work whn rpm it requires are enough ... alsio mention if u have a factory fitted ac or desi fitted one ...
regards
