@Redbull
Fedora is infact Redhat but for user level, the other one is Enterprise Edition. The best part about linux is that u can still run it on even x286, let alone x386 and the latest ones. You don't need to be a developer to get into Linux... all u need is to spend sometime on learning it. Once u did learned, u'll forget everything about MS......
For trying different versions/distributions/flavors of Linux, u can try FreeBSD, Debian, Red Hat, Mandrake, SuSE, and maybe Slackware...... u can also opt for a more user freindly Ubuntu or what we call Linux for Dummies. Check out the link below to try find which one u wud like......

btw, Linux is not like MS Windows and is more verstile and flexible, that means, if u want to use messenger, googletalk, yahoo, irc, aol etc etc.... u don't need to install different softwares for different messengers, all u need is GAIM, which supports centrelized and single point of connection to all of the above. As for Photoshop, Office and Corel Draw, u don't need to buy/install third party softwares, as it comes with GIMP & OpenOffice and other powerful tools which can be compared with the best for editing and automation.
In short, its the best ever thing u can do to u'rself. Leave that MS crap, join in the free for all GNU based softwares!
