AoA!i hav a cultus 2004,,clocked 135000km running on cng..it sucks engine oil in the air filter assembly....everytym i go to get my car's air filter clean theres oil in it..wat cn b the prblem?
thnks!
that not suction its the crankcase vent - it vents oil vapours into the air cleaner housing, but it should have a rough sponge in it to absorb the liquid oil that settles
@xulfikarsir i knw its not suction,,just seems lyk its doing so..btw i asked my mechanic and he was lyk..''head farigh hogea hai''
if the head is Farigh it should be burning engine oil like a drunk maniac. Most probably you have a partially blocked PCV, remove and clean it.
mechanic ka apna "head" farigh hogaya hai
the other day i was telling someone, the useful life of any suzuki is
100,000 kms ( no offense meant to any suzuki owner ! )
bhai air filter main oil jub ae ga jub back compression mar rahi hogi gari. 135000km on cng. bht hota hai yr. meri cux k cultus ka 80,000km pe engine banwana parh gaya. well it depends on driving style as well. but air filter main araha hai to it means engine back compression mar raha hai. app engine oil level bi chck karein to wo bi kam horaha hoga. try running on petrol. thora engine aur chal jae ga.
do a compression test - then decide whether its blowby or something else, Dont shoot an arrow in the air
xulifiqar???how to the compression test??computerized tunning centers have tht facility???n wat shud b the results like??i mean wat shud b the figures of a good engine?
I am using Suzuki FX 1985 and it also faced the same problem, but let me tell you one thing that my car dont even know what cng is, it has never ran on cng:) but the solution to my car was that as the level of oil decreased my father by mistake filled it with the khulla oil available on the petrol pumps which created a lot of problems. Which included giving high smoke and oil in the airfilter. The solution is to check for the oil level, as the oil level in my car had increased which created this problem and also try to run the car on petrol also.
find a mechanic with a compression tester, some oldschool good honest mechanics have them.. - or befreind someone who has one, nearly all my carfreak freinds in Karachi used to be lined up at my house near midnight for a compression test and also a timing adjustment with my strobe - you should see 160 psi minimum compression on all three holes
how much it costs??i mean the compression test equipment?
