Thanks for the reply, I think I couldn't clarify my question, cooling fan means radiator fan, clutch disengagement function only works when the car is standing still and not otherwise. Alternate solution means I need this function but without installing compressor signal switch as it becomes faulty after sometime.gulraiz workshop will be my last choice I know them since long.
Guys any info regarding cooling coil of daewoo I am looking for original new not kabli one ....In Market i could find the china coil Do not how reliable is it ....
???????? ? ? ? ? ?
You dont need EPs Daewoo steering is quite decent the problem cames when ppl use wrong spec alloys on daewoo racer
I converted my daewoos steering to power!
Nope not electronic.
EPS stands for Electronic Power Steering . Anyhow which brand or from which car its taken off.
I know theres a difference in electronic power steering and power steering.. if im not wrong
Other one is hydraulic. Which u qoute power steering. Rest EPS left. #information..
Sorry for the late reply!
The cooling fan is working fine with AC. Regarding the clutch function, it depends on the manifold pressure (hi pressure - clutch disengage). To check the function during car movement, you can press the accelerator pedal to the floor abruptly. In normal running condition, the clutch will disengage when moving in a higher gear where lower gear is needed and the accelerator is pressed to gain momentum instead of downshifting. Technically, the clutch is disengaged when the MAP readings goes higher than 3.5 volts.
Of-course it is possible, I have seen a Daewoo Racer having EPS installed, but for that the steering column needs to be cut for the installation. Pros are of-course no belt-pump-oil issues, no change of steering rack and noiseless operation. Cons are lack of steering feel (as in case of any EPS system), sensor calibration issues and in case of alteration "safety compromise". I would not suggest installation of EPS in any car unless someone gets complete factory setup.
You can ask Javaid Sons (051-2260121) at G-9 regarding the availability of new cooling coil for Daewoo. I have heard good about "Success" brand. You can also contact Nadeem Car AC (0300-5511708) at G-10 for alternatives.
Aoa i was reading an article on pakwheels by a guy who owns 1988 toyota corolla. n he had heating issues related to brakes n once he changed the master brake cylinder and the issue got resolved. i wanted to ask the master brake cylinder in my woo is of toyota corolla n that too kabli n was changed 2 to 3 yrs back. my car brakes r also very lax meaning after the car heats up or runs for a while i have to press the pedal all the way to the bottom to apply brakes..car is not heating up but pick gets reduced ....i also changed both front discs n back ones 3 or 4 months back. should i look into it aswell master brake cylinder?
The issue with Daewoo Racer is not with the master-cylinder/servo, but the brake calipers. The brake calipers are designed in such a way that they lose efficiency when they gets hot, the rubber parts on the caliper pins swells and as a result the calipers get jammed. The best solution to this problem is regular inspection brake calipers and timely replacement of worn out rubber parts (also called caliper kit). Usually you should get them checked during each oil change (at-least checking for proper movement of calipers)
bro . nadeem doen't do work on stock compressor of woo , he suggested me to go to faqer husain for a/c job. and i wanted to know about this person is performs the job alright?
Yes, he is better than majority of Daewoo mechanics!
for daewoo digital meter ...any modification required ?
what will be approx cost of unit + mods if any
Just few connections required at the data connector end by splicing the wires from the original connector while few wires requires re-routing for the main connector. The meter is not easily available these days, and will cost around Rs.10-12K if you mange to find one while electrician (only Daewoo's expert) will take around Rs.1-1.5K. If the VSS is not working in your car, add Rs.1.5-2K for that otherwise the speedometer will not work.
