I own a Daihatsu Mira 2011 and I'm facing an issue with the gear shifter.
Occasionally, while driving, the car suddenly starts jerking, as if it has automatically shifted into 1st gear. At the same time, the CVT indicator starts blinking.
The strange part is that whenever I disconnect the battery for a few minutes and reconnect it (resetting the car), the problem disappears and the car drives normally. However, after some time or a few days, the same issue returns.
My question is: could this be an electrical issue, a sensor problem, a faulty gear shifter, or does it indicate a problem with the CVT gearbox itself?
I'd really appreciate any advice or if someone has experienced the same issue. Thank you!
