y did u opt the cng version as now adays cng is avalaible for only 2-3 days max and the rest r gone in load shedding + cng rates are nearly equal to that of petrol...

petrol gives u the ultimate engine performance + prolonged engine life compared to that of cng..in my opinion cng should b banned...if u can afford a 15 lacs car then u should hav no problem affording its fuel too...no offence but i just gave u my opinion on cng and its draw backs..people buy lcs and camrys and convert them to cng..iam like wtf..y buy a 20-30 million car if u cant afford its fuel..just buy a mehran instead..sorry if i hurt u but mainay gussay mai akar dil ki poori bharass nikaldi..!!

Didnt like the seat covers thou, i got mine OEM like Skin fitted.

1) In karachi, CNG is avalible around the week
2) The car came with FF CNG, So CNG is its fuel, He can afford the fuel for the car.

3) Its for 1.6 Milion not 20 or 30 Million. For that much you can get a LC.

4) Who on earth told u, Mehrans are meant tobe run on CNG and bigger better cars to be run on Petrol only :S, Gimme one logical reason please.

1. I specifally choose the CNG version, If they had not launched it i would have driven it on petrol, but since its now available why not use it.
2. CNG is equally good as a fuel IF the engine is capable of handling it, and with this ecotec version there is no difference in driving on either fuels petrol or CNG.
   3.CNG till today is much cheaper than petrol look on the previous page for detailed calculations.
3. This car cost me more than 17 lacs uptill today, not the usual 15.
   Obviously i can run it on petrol, but sensible people always go for efficiency, that is maximum out put with minimum input, this is what this car is all about.
4. About CNG being available, its readily available in khi, even if it isn't i can always drive it on petrol.

Any one who buys a corolla in this day and age has one of the following reasons, to blend in the crowd, and easy maintainence-no headaches.

If it wasn't for these two reasons i would have prolly gone for something fancy.

go for the altis OEM ones like mine, look 100 percent original wood, the rest in my opinion look like plastic covers. Its up to you.

The seat covers, my dad hand picked them, but after putting them on even he wasn't satisfied with the end result, plans to get them changed if i can squeeze some time out before i leave. btw put up pics of your cars covers.

Retractable mirrors Rs.8000 roughly (had to buy many parts from many people)
Steelmate : mine costed Rs.4000
Fabric Seat Covers : Rs.1800
Ecu Cover with delivery charges : Rs500

if u like it then its good...but i do agree that having both fuel verisons..petrol and cng is a good thing..and MashAllah ur car is awsum..dont forget to add fog lamps and rims..rest all is good...!!

I dont really need fog lamps since there is no fog in khi.
the proper rims cost a little more than what i think is sensible to spend on wheels, and i don't trust the cheap chinese ones, so rims prolly not.

actually the fitting is what im most interested in. where did you get yours done from, and for how much?

to be honest, these arent the best fitted, if u saw the pics of the Baleno we sold, that fitting was better, these cost me around 4.5k and rs.200 for the steering cover. Just because of the quality of the cloth, the same thing can be done for 2.5 to 3k as well.

It was done from Tariq road. A very close guy knew this person so i went there eyes closed. But its been done better then the ones ive seen in family.

im a physics student myself, and its a little hard for me to understand, can you elaborate further, you have only mentioned that they heat up more when its new, HOW? they heat up every time the engine is running and expand when heated, and contract when cooled, which is why it is said to let the car warm up on a cold day to maximise performance.

And i am still convinced that a new car is the most efficient, and its efficiency decreases because to wear n tear inside the cylinders due to friction between the rings and cylinder walls, as the mileage increases, this creates a gap between the ring and cylinder walls which leaks the explosive pressure after the fuel explodes, thereby reducing efficiency. This is why older cars need an engine rebuild.

Since all engines now have ground bores with precision machinery, cylinders and piston rings setting in is not as important as it was a few decades ago. And yes most people still have the 70's mentality.
