when these crowns are offered with different engines they have their own selected differentials too which change the driving torque band, The 2L diesel crowns with 94 hp are a different story because they are diesels which are all about torque.
But in this case, you are going backwards - you are installing a square engine (no torque at all) into a full option crown sedan (heaviest model) - that too known to be the silliest engines of all - feels dead even when revved. Even in its original X cressida/cresta/mark2/chaser platform was a piece of crap. There was a reason these cars were so cheap to buy compared to the 1JZ counterparts.
A much nicer option would be to swap a mercedes benz M104 in there. It is beautifully designed and overbuilt to the level of insanity. Punches real hard when you push it.
