has anyone experienced EPS in cuore ? i have herd that mira's EPS can fit in cuore without any alteration.what would be its cost ?
Yes EPS is possible for Coure....a friend did this nd the total cost was around 3500. All need to be done is u have to get New Kanghi electronic one and ECu and install it.
its possible, easy but not so quick, you also need a VSS to make it work effectively, it should go hard when travelling above 55kmh - (motor works against you). A check light made from an LED and a few wires, including, rpm, ignition power, ground
I don't think that Coure need HPS or EPS.. Its Steering is very smooth so no need of it!!
Well you can contact Toyota in getting some info , coz they were offering power steering in cuore back in 08 when eco matic was launched. not sure abt current situation
it is possible. cost is 10k. only motor will need to be installed regular kungi will work. hydraulic will cost abt 25k
Coure has very light steering i dont think it needs EPS but i do recommend it for alto because it has harder steering.
Refer my thread you will find all info there, you can also do the same with Coure too.https://www.pakwheels.com/forums/general-auto-talks/93661-suggestion-req-cultus-eps-vs-hps
I also think that installing eps in cuore is a wate of money as it has already got a very soft steering
but at slow speed it takes a lil muscle to turn the wheel.
if you do get one my advice is that you get a switch to turn it on or off in case it is malfunctioning
The VSS = vehicle speed sensor, our local carburettor engine cuore dont have this as they are still using a speedo cable. The VSS input into the steering control unit will make it know that the car is travelling at certain speed - and would adjust the steering to hard turning to ensure the car does not get out of control. (at speeds above 100 km/h the motor would apply a brake to your effort so you dont spin the car out of line) - older cars with hydraulic assist systems had this function coming from the transmission pressure control valve to (slow down/stiffen) power assist - Anyone who has had a 1986-1990 Accord or even a 1993 to 1996 integra would know - and you can literally see hydraulic lines going into the transmission for this purpose
As soon as a malfunction is detected the steering control unit stops power assist and turns on the check light.
even monkeying around with the EPS at idle is a malfunction as the motor heats up along with the control unit..
10k !!!!!! that is tooooooo much.
yes i have gone through that thread and its very informative but i just need to know a person who has tried this in cuore.
3500 seams normal. when did your friend installed this and from where ?
any one ?
i saw a mira half cut.....wid da person offering ABS(complete wid chip) n power steering along wid da engine.
nt sure abt da price.....but m sure it can b installed without alteration(major)
