I have an imported V2, model 2015. A colleague has a local one, from one of the first batches. In my observation, the paint quality has improved, and so has the overall sound proofing. I have installed the complementary door rubbers by FAW for imported vehicles, that has made a difference in my car as well.
Overall, I feel that the quality has improved a little bit in the local assembled. The suspension noise people often complain is of suspension bushes, which in my opinion will not be an issue in local assembled cars, as I have not observed that in my colleague's car. In my car, there is a slight low frequency noise on rough patches of road. I guess changing suspension bushes will remove that, and it will be roughly a 2-4k job. The rubber used in suspension bushes might have been worn out due to the conditions in which these cars were brought in, or due to being older, but this is all from the top of my head, I don't have anything to prove this hypothesis. The other noises are not exactly body noises, but the plastic panels noises. I had my boot lined with foam and double tape for removing that noise. This arose due to the vibration in the boot when we pull the car in low RPM. The left door panel had a slight noise which I got fixed from dealership. This was due to using speakers at high volume and high bass. Both these issues have not been observed in the local assembled one, but that might be because it is new. Apart from these noises, there is no other noise in the car that I have observed.
