To whom it may concern,
My name is Saad, I am an internet marketing expert. I happen to come across a time in my life when I had to upgrade to a luxurious sort of a car after 9 years of driving worst quality Suzuki mehran, the 800 cc engine. My budget was around 800,000 rupees to spend. And I was saddened for the fact id have to go for a Suzuki car with no features and that too a used one. Until I came across a dealership in Islamabad that had Faw v2 shinning like a bright emerging star. Upon inquiring I found out this car had all the bells and whistles that could make me and my family happy and I went for it.
Reason to explain you this story is to let you know how I found out about this car in Pakistan. Well not only me, many other users of v2 that I found on blog sites found out about the car exactly same way as I did. (the old fashioned way, until they walked into a showroom ) Lack of marketing!
With all the due respect I would like to bring a few things to your attention, which you may find a reason of less number of sales of v2.
1) No advertisement on National Television
2) No advertisement on Radio
3) No advertisement on local cable channels
4) No billboards in any cities
5) No internet marketing
6) No Pamphlets
7) No Newspaper adds
8) No Classified adds
9) Dead Google plus page
I am not in any position to guess, or assume Production / Delivery turnover, reports etc. But from a customer?s point of view, I can tell you that living in the capital of Pakistan I have not seen a single v2 vehicle here. Let alone other cities. On classified website such aspakwheels.com there are only 5 classified ads of v2 being sold in the country.
You can review it yourself here:
Since this car comes with great features, and affordability, I think the hype and information broadcasting should be at its peak, to create awareness in the market, which is lacking big time. Not so sure what might be the reason behind this.
Information Technology is my field, so I will mention the issues I have noticed on Alhaj faw motors in virtual representation of the company
1) Very little amount of likes only 60k
2) No sponsored posts have been made on facebook
3) Looks like no paid promotion campaigns had been run on fb ( reason for less amount of likes )
4) No websites for the dealerships
5) No 3d views of cars available
6) No proper animations
7) Designing and broachers aren?t too high quality images
Since everyone sees the world through smartphone devices and facebook, this is the strongest medium of marketing other than the usual marketing modes. You can target the audience you want to reach out to. Since facebook has made it so much easier for marketers to target the right sort of audience, it can be very easy for you to cover almost all the vehicle owners available in the country. In a Population of 190 million, Motor vehicles (per 1;000 people) in Pakistan was last measured at 13 in 2009. The number probably has quadrupled. I think the marketing department should get on every aspect of marketing to make sure that the vehicle is spread-out throughout the country at a drastic level.
One more thing I noticed is there is no website for any of your dealers in the country. To get the right type of information, the pak wheels blog or forum is to be searched but not the actual dealers or alhaj faw motors website. Lack of information on alhajfaw.com or the dealerships sets back the customers who have heard about the car and are in process of deciding for them. This being the Era of Telecom and IT, if you do not have a well presented representation online, you will lose credibility and trust among the general public.
I am pretty sure, people reading this email must already know everything I mentioned here, but I had to bring it up since now I am a faw v2 user and IT is the field I am pretty experienced at. If in any way my assistance can be acquired at alhaj faw motors I will be very thankful and grateful.
My services include, Marketing, Writing, Google Marketing, Web Design, Web Development.
Hope this email gets read by the concerned people. ( reason to post it here is may be some day some of the alhaj members might go through this and might be an eye opener.
