@ Indica,
i think you need to read what i said carefully, i did not dispute or even mentioned the status of indian being a super power, all i said was that the standard of living in Pakistan is much higher than india. A good example is that india may be a upcoming super power but the standard of living in the gulf countries like uae, saudi or kuwait is much higher. Being a super power doesnt make a country special, and the truth is that people in Pakistan despite all the economic sanctions and military take overs still have a better standard of living than an average indian. And please don't show pics of hight life in mumbai or a tower block, in delhi, i have seen all of that and have friends all over india. When they have visited Pakistan in the past they are always gobsmacked by our better standard of living, even houshold gas is much cheapily and widely available all over Pakistan. I have been to some really influential indian film stars and business houses/apartments which still use gas cylinders for there cookers. So my dear indica, STOP COMPARING! As india is a bigger country. Pakistan, despite all its problems, corrpution, economic turmoils, afghan war in 1980's and constant intervention by the west stull has done quite well. It developed nuclear capable military, has its marks on cricket, music and has some sort of economic activity along with the best road network in the south asian region, so its not all doomsday scenario which most indians in this forum predict or portray. Yes india is an upcoming power, but still needs to do a lot to acheive that status. We all know what happened to the U.S.S.R
