And I forgot to mention that food is wonderful too. Other than Lahore and Kasur, Karachi is the city where I have found the food to be super delicious (Sorry to say, and no offence / disrespect, but twin cities lag far behind, when it comes to "Zaiqeda'ar" food).
Our friends gave us party at Sheikh Abdul Ghaffar Kabab House (its located somewhere adjacent to Tariq road), and the Karahi dish was so delicious, that we hardly stopped. Similarly, there was a Nehari shop on Tariq road, where only Nehari is served / sold, its Nehari was also delicious (although very spicy! Got runny nose after it
)
When food is delicious (with exception to spicy, which I am not favour of; as its injurious to health in the long run), things are cheap, readily and easily available, a big metropolitan / cosmopolitan city, gentle breeze throughout, public transport available and at very cheap rates (Marwat, Sheerazi, etc.), big plazas / shopping malls (as well as traditional, old school type bazaars for guys like me), etc. people are open minded and open hearted, baat karnay sun'nay sey nai ghabratay, etc. what else one needs?
(If now given an option, I would still like to move to Lahore; its my hometown, and I miss it, despite the fact that it has expanded far beyond its limits, people have moved there for earning living from far off areas, etc. and also brought their ignorances (traffic condition truly depicts it), to kya unhein Shehar sey nikal dein? We have to broaden over Dill, Zhen and Zarf, and accept with open mind and open heart, otherwise, things do not work.)
In my opinion, leaving the city, just that traffic has grown too much, is not wise. Yes, if health issues are there, or one wants to live peaceful life in serenity (may be after retirement, or otherwise), then it can be an option.
