lol nice one.
the way I tend to use CVJ grease that I had in buckets was to use a spoon used for rice and scoop it into a square plastic bag - then weigh the grease.
once satisifed with weight, make the bag into a cone and use it like a baker puts icing on a cake - or how a mithaifarosh cooks jalebee. No mess, grease is not adulterated with dirt/grime from hands and the joint has exact grease weight.
saves on wastage of grease, expendibles like cleanup rags and keeps the area/car clean too.
this trick made it loads easy when repacking the inner joints of german car axles that had lobro joints with metal sleeve boots, those type require a bead of anaerobic sealant on the edge of the flange of the boot and axle. So I would use the bag to fill the joint boot accordion area till it was pretty much loaded - push the remaining into the ball cavities - kept the joint outer edges cleaned this way - wiped down with acetone and then applied the thin bead of anaerobic gasket compound and closed the boot.
To do this by hand packing the joints - you will pretty much waste half the grease and also create a huge huge mess - and CVJ grease is really sticky black.
