Dear Pak Wheelrs, Especially 4x4 enthusiasts I need to replace tyres of of my 1988 model Toyota Land Cruiser 3 door with 2-LT engine. Currently the tyres are 310 * 105 Radius 15 dunlop SP RV Major. I personaly plan to purchase original recommended size 215 (or 235 for better look.) The one reason to change tyres/size is that vehicle is fuel consumption which is 7 km /litter urban and 8Km Highway which is very low as diesel engines are good at mileage. .u ppl know better than me the tyres are very large for this vehicle pls help to choose tyres and also guide about the price. Guidence will be highly appreciated.
I dont think you will get better milage on a 2lt.
Be happy with 7km in the city..
Thanx Bro Sajid.. But still need the tyre replacement as old ones seem to get hard with age.. but do the reasonable change in size will not save engine load ???. A gain, what shall be the appropriate size/spec in all terms.. Thanx again,,
Pls check the sticker on the door that has OEM size specifications, if not google. I think you will be ok as long as you stay under or at 245/70/15 specially if you have hollow rims.
Thanks @ Sajid.. The sticker says the size is 215.. But what shall be the make/company and any idea of the price..
So the max you can go is 225.. but dont go bigger..
BF, Bridgestone, Yokohoma, Dunlop are all good brands.
@aroonmalik215 is the width, what about profile?Get whatever size, but stay within +/- 3% of the original diameter.
Thanks to all frineds for kind information..
