I went through the thread and have found a number of people asking me what engines they can go for
Firstly, I'll say stick to the A-series, if yours is weak, get a replacement, I can help you guys with getting A18 and A20 engines.
If not the A-series, the B20A/B Non vtec is the second best bet, I can also help you guys find those as I have some in sight.
If none of these, one can go the D16 route but that's the least favorable option as the mounting is different and the D-series doesn't do justice to the CA chassis
Rather get a B16/B18 swap if you want to change the mounting or go F20B/H22 which have the torque to pull this car.
This option is only for those who don't want to stick to the originality of the chassis and will be willing to carry out major alterations that will include making new engine mounts/brackets, getting custom axles, H22 shifter assembly with cables and EFi fuel tank conversion.
Lastly if anyone wants to go full maniac mode, a K20/K24 swap will do, again this will require work but it is possible and has been done.
For daily driving I'll say stick to the A and B series without alterations
For daily driving while willing to do some alterations, F20B is the best bet.
