Well guyzZzZzZz, its been a lotta time I posted here. though I been in touch with our hood, but had no time to post cz of the *** routine these days.
Have got a lot of things to share with both idsi and vtec owners here. Starting off with the latest discussion going on in here, fuel mileage of the idsi.
Around 20 days back, my car started giving off problems like missing, idle issues, power loss etc on gas while on petrol, it was perfectly fine. I took it to a LOT of mechanics literally and not a single one could fix the issue. everyone just rotated the cng screw and said ab theek hai. But NO.
then, one day in pindi traffic, it suddenly died on cng. won't even start. I popped the hood, found nothing, switched to petrol and moved on. After a hectic day, I took it to a mech in the evening. He is on the main mall road/ peshawar road, just opposite to that of zaawiya academy. The man really knows what he is doing, though the task on my car was a darn simple one but I saw him fix around 5 cars in front of my eyes, I am a fan.
What he did was, he simply pulled out the cng pipe from the airfilter box, it was already out. He fixed it back with a lot of magic epoxy steel glue and I was goot to go. He said that over time, magic wears off and air starts going in from the hole. thats when u lose power.
I agreed fully as my car became PERFECT after that session, very very very smooth drive. and recently, she gave me 192kms in a single fill, out of which 53kms precisely were in city with AC, rest on highway without ac. No hypermiling as of such, just normal drive, pushing the limits on the road occasionally to elude traffic crowds. Avg speed 120-130kph.
So, the conclusion, despite everything done, do check that the cng venturi is properly fixed in ur car, otherwise it might be giving trouble wihtout anyone paying attention to the magicked pipe being lose.
