This is really distressing then. I thought/hoped my case was a solitary case of Murphy's Law in action, but it seems that they clearly have a reputation that I was unaware of.
Regarding why I went there: simply put Honda Defense is very convenient to me, but they don't have the computer scanner thing necessary for resetting ECUs (also an FYI, the problem manifested due to their negligence. Every so often, they're supposed to inspect the throttle body drive, which they neglected to do), so they recommended HSF (I knew that it was a sister showroom).
I didn't mind, it was in a relatively accessible location, and I naively assumed that it was probably the "primary" dealership due to its location. Boy was I wrong about that.
