Guys....this thread was not started for the sake of argument. Corolla is launched in Japan, take a look at the pics (toyota.co.jp) .It has conservative and tranditional styling, it may be faster, bigger or better than the Civic. But, Civic and Corolla are headed in different directions.
The point is not that comparing Corolla with City makes one car look bad or vice versa. The point I was trying to make is that a shift is happening. Times are changing and we should be open minded about change.
Look at how Honda is pricing the City. There is no Civic in India, they compete City with Corolla. But thats not to say we can't compare Corolla with Civic. But that is not how the manufacturers see this market.
Corolla is clear winner in fleet sales in Pakistan. There is no way that will change with a 1.3 million Rs base Civic. A larger City has a chance to claim its share of fleet sales in Pakistan. That is what Honda is aiming towards.
