Wa alaikam salam bhai, Alhamdullilah going great
I kept 2010 1.3 gli for 6 years, and drove it to massive 220,000kms. Before that i had 1.3 gli 2006 and drove it upto 175,000kms. Drove both cars to speeds like 160-170km/h on motorway. I never faced issue of wobbling. Drove 2015 gli once and drove it upto 140km/h. There wasn’t any wobbling.
Engine size is different, but suspension is the same.
Wobbling is a result of bad rim or balancing. If both things are perfect than there won’t be any.
People here get balancing and they don’t know what the guy is doing, balacing should be done on both sides of rim inside and outside area. Mechanic here only do it from inner side and don’t place weights on outer side to save money. It will result in wobbling at speeds of 100-120, and than people complain that corolla have issues.
Moreover, 1.3 engine isn’t that much less in weight. It’s pretty older technology than corolla’s 1.6 and 1.8 engine, and weight of all engines doesn’t have much difference.
