Completely agree with Saquib Bhai.
I caught a Dealer who was trying to sell me a car with reversed miles. He was surprised when I told him of his acts. Actually, here in US, you have this web-site called, Carfax.com, where you can check the past history of the car, by just typing in its VIN number. All cars have this little sequence of 17alpha-numerics, that can trace the car all the way to its original owner and all the activities performed on that car, including, any suspicous behavior, like reversing the odometer, car being involved in some accident, its title being a salvage/junk status, etc.
The cars miles are tracked, everytime the car goes to service shop, or gets a new owner, etc. The basic information is added to the central database, and that data base is maintained by the US department of Motor Vehicles, where all the relevent States have their own Access to Motor Vehicle Department's central database. But still, there are some CROOKS here in US too, who do this CRIME of reversing meters and try to sell their cars to peolpe, who did not check the history of the car on the Computers.
I wish they had this law, to declare the original miles, in Pakistan, maintained by some central database, to catch all those CRIMINALS, that try to reverse the miles.
Reversing the miles is a CRIME, and the CRIMINAL is punished by heavy fines, even Jail time in USA.
