So recently We friends recently came accross a issue where two Identical bikes (health and model wise) were not performing identical even we switched rider and had multiple runs.
The bikes under discussion are CG125 both 2018 model brand new.
One of the CG would go lock some where around 106~110kmh where as the other CG will keep on climbing up to 16~120kmh bracket and would leave the other far behind.
Even then Initial pick up acceleration was visibly different.
Both were close old friends of mine and came for a visit and ask to check if the engine is weak in one of them so the can put a claim in front of claim Honda Warranty.
compression test of both bikes were 10/10, plug color indicated Feul Mixture setting to be in exactly same zone. Tht when a 3rd rider gave an opinion. he said may be one of the bike has weak cluth or may be weak spark... ?
So we tested and Clutch was apparently working identical, also spark that was not much different but we swapped CDI of both bikes, .... H3LL got broke lose in the CG which was not performing right after the cdi exchange...
And the CG which was performing like an ace started to behanve sluggish and top speed came down to 98kmh lock... where as the other CG which was actually sloppy hit a 122kmh...
We later on bought another CDI and got rid of that Faulty CDI, the warranty claim rejected the CDI replacement under warranty claiming it is not covered and even if it covered its already fine ... ( humny bataya bhi k bhai ye gari bethi bethi chal rhi hay.. kehty hain tuing kerwa lo... Face PALM )
My question is what sorcery is in the CDI which is performing above expected mark and whats wrong with the other sloppy one... I mean bikes dono same, same show room say liye same color, same manufacturing...
I want to diagnose this problem properly...
